One of the key races this Saturday at Rosehill is the Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m), with the race being a key lead up towards the Golden Slipper.
Down below is a speed map, runner preview and $100 betting strategy for the 2026 Silver Slipper Stakes.
2026 Silver Slipper Stakes Runner Preview:
1. Incognito: Didn’t pull up 100% post the Canonbury so I want to be forgiving of the effort though the late market drift was telling there. If he brings his best, he can threaten…but for me, I am happy to watch.
2. Hidrix: Hidrix commands respect after a debut win in the Canonbury three weeks ago at this track/distance, getting better as the race went on and was quite impressive in the run to the line. Natural upside/improvement, he takes beating against these.
3. Stretan Ruler: Didn’t do a bad job in the Blue Diamond Prelude and Blinkers on signals clear intent. But is another I am happy to watch.
4. Confederation: To me, I think he’ll be better on a bigger track and over slightly further. Did a good job in the Canonbury but I do think staying at the Rosehill 1100m is a negative. I’ll oppose him.
5. Savage Look: Has done little wrong in a two start career and was good late last time at Randwick. Blinkers on, and will need luck from the gate. I think he goes through to the keeper.
6. Eviction Notice: I think he’ll get front end control and give a good sight. But I thought if he was going to do anything, it was in the Canonbury and while he ran third, he was held late. He’ll give a sight but I have others ahead of him.
7. Euripedes: Euripedes is a Street Boss colt for Bjorn Baker that resumes. He debuted here in November when placing behind Fireball, who won the Inglis Millennium, so the form reads super, and loved the way he went in a trial win here last week.
8. Dr Hook: Dr Hook is a well bred colt for Team Hawkes that resumes. He ran fifth to Fireball in November when off speed and kept chasing but did seemingly have his chance. Moved well in a recent trial win here, watch betting.
9. Shiki: Didn’t have the best of luck in the straight in the Gold Coast Magic Millions…but I will say, she was entitled to finish off a bit closer IMO. Trial since was good, has the residual fitness and the pull in the weights. Too short in betting for mine.
10. Wave Blaster: Did a decent job on debut behind Outspan but needs it easier.

2026 Silver Slipper Stakes Speed Map
Incognito was on speed in the Canonbury but I dare say they’ll opt for cover. That should lead Eviction Notice as the leader, and I think will give the drag across to Euripedes. Savage Look and Stretan Ruler should settle handy.
