Savatiano is now the new favourite in the all in market with Sportsbet.com.au for the Memsie Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on August 29 off the back of her win on Saturday in the PB Lawrence at the same track/distance.
The James Cummings trained mare was down to resume in the Missile last Saturday at Rosehill but was scratched due to a wet track. Went to Caulfield, found firmer footing, a slowly run race and was too good. Prior to Saturday she was $7.50 but after her win, she’s favourite at $4.50.
Showmanship, who defied the pattern to win on Saturday at Caulfield, went to $6 second favourite after being $9 prior. Mystic Journey, who was down the track behind Savatiano, is $6.50 out from $4. Kings Will Dream was the big firmer, going to $8 after being $17.
