So You Win ($9-$15) and Harmattan ($5.50) filled the minors. Most of the money was with Chalmers and Harmattan while Bastia was a big drifter, going $4-$5.50 late.
RACE THREE
Erno proved to be a costly commodity in the running of the TAB Clarendon Stakes (1300 metres).
The Kim Waugh runner held 67 percent of the money but after failing to find the front, had to do all the chasing outside the leader and was nabbed late by Creator ($7).

Manicure, another of Godolphin’s runners, was $5-$4.40 and ran up to the support to wind up third.
Irithea was the most popular runner while combined with Multaja, the pair held 58 percent of the market.

Marokawa ($9-$7-$7.50) had its admirers as well.
RACE SIX
The late drift told the story in this race when Tactical Advantage went close, but not close enough.
Tactical Advantage was backed into even money off a high of $3.20, however, in the final stages of betting the horse continued to drift and started $2.25 as money came for several other runners to beat it.
One of those horses was Intuition ($7-$8) which itself was slightly easy in the market.

Sitting in the second half of the field and wide with cover, Williams produced the filly four and five-wide on the turn and she blitzed her rivals up the straight.
Propelle ($3.20) started favourite and held 40 percent of the money while Definia ($51) and Seven Year Reward ($14) filled the minors. William Thomas ($3.20-$3.90) drifted due to the support for Propelle but was the best backed runner outside the winner.

BETS: Twitchy Frank $2,000 @ $2.80 MULTIPLE TIMES, $6,000 @ $2.60

Despite drifting in betting, Tarwin was a horror result for TAB in the Spendthrift Vobis 3YO Sires (1600 metres).
The Mick Kent runner was $1.95 in the morning and got out to as much as $2.25, however, firmed slightly late in betting to jump a dominant $2.20 favourite.
There were a number of horses backed to beat it including Green Ivy ($23-$11), Shandy ($10-$8.50) and Saccharo ($7).

Prince Of Sussex defied the betting drift to win the Showdown (1200 metres).
Ridden a treat by Michael Dee, Prince Of Sussex was $2.80 favourite in the morning but went out to $3.50 as the support came for Sartorial Splendor ($4-$3.30).
Dee had the Matt Laurie runner midfield in running and then ran up behind the leaders turning for home, before angling back to the inside and finishing powerfully.
Hightail ($21) ran on for second in front of Mishe Mokwa ($51).
Sartorial Splendor hit the lead on straightening but weakened out of it at the finish. It was responsible for 37 percent of the market and was nearly twice as popular as the winner.

RACE SEVEN
Mr Quickie did the right thing by favourite backers when it saluted in the Hygain Vobis Gold Heath (2000 metres).
Ben Allen rode a patient race on the $1.65 favourite, sitting midfield before running up behind the leaders on the turn. When the field straightening, a small gap appeared and Allen drove the Phillip Stokes runner through it and the pair raced clear to score an impressive win.
Admiral’s Joker ($61) and Remember The Name ($14) filled the minors. Mahamedeis ($3.50) was the only runner seriously tried to beat the winner but it only held a fraction of what Mr Quickie did.
