Christmas did not come early to the punter who had $99,000 on Santa Ana Lane today
Santa Ana Lane has failed to deliver a TAB punter an early Christmas after the star sprinter finished fifth in today’s VRC Sprint Classic.
The punter with the TAB placed two big bets of $24,000 at $2.15 for Santa Ana Lane to win the VRC Sprint Classic at Flemington and a bet of $75,000 at $1.20 for Santa Ana Lane to placed in the race but he could not manage to run into the top four after what was a pretty slow first 200m in the 1200m sprint.
Santa Ana Lane was sent out the well backed $2.15 favourite ahead of Nature Strip at $3.70 who was a dominant winner in the race.
