Punters quick to back Expressway Stakes runner

Trapeze Artist has been well backed since Expressway Stakes markets opened

There is early money to suggest that Trapeze Artist is certainly forward enough to win the Expressway Stakes (1200m) first up at Rosehill this Saturday.

The Gerald Ryan trained sprinter is first up having not raced since The Everest where he ran a mighty second to Redzel. He trialled well, but nothing to jump up and down about. Still, he’s been best backed, now into $3.60 after opening $4.20.

He still sits comfortably behind Alizee, who is at $1.90 and unchanged and IMO appears overs given she’s up and fit while Trapeze Artist is first up and normally isn’t ready fresh. Le Romain is rock solid at $4.40, out from $4.20.
