Punters have launched into one in early betting for the Debutant Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield this Saturday.
Coronel, a son of Host for Tony Vasil, has been trialling up quite well in recent times, enough for the punters suggest he can go close to winning at start one. He opened $6 and was backed immediately into $4.40, and now sits at $4.50.
Sacred Sword ($5-$5.50-$5) and Qafila ($4.80-$5), trained by Tony McEvoy and Hayes/Dabernig, have both been solid off nice trials at Flemington and Wodonga respectively.
There has been a move at odds also for Binding Move, trained by Phillip Stokes. He trialled up well earlier in the week and has been $12 to $9.
