Stratum Star has been well backed to win the C S Hayes Stakes at Flemington on Saturday. The Colt has been $8 into $5 with online bookmaker Sportsbet and is now favourite to take out the first leg of the quaddie.
His first up run was impressive when he was only narrowly beaten by Profit Share and last time he was seen at Flemington he ran a close second(0.2L) to Kermadec in the Carbine Club in Cup week. He is a very consistent horse and punters have been keen to take each way odds on the back of that.
Cox Plate runner Wandjina has been well tried at odds and has been $15 into $11. The race looks to be a tough start to the quaddie with the favourite and well backed Stratum Star leading the field at $5.
