Over The Odds – 8/12/2018

Sportsbet have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Doomben Race Three Number 12 Sofie’s Gold Class ($5.50):

I’m keen on her so I’m a bit surprised she isn’t harder in the market. This mare was two months between runs when racing at this track/distance two weeks ago where she had to make a sustained run from the back and for the most part looked the winner but the hard fit Mishani Vaidra had the soft trip and finished too good. Now she has the run under the belt, I’m keen on her against these.

Doomben Race Five Number 4 Trusty Lad ($4.50):

I had him a clear favourite so the $4.50 looks very much overs for mine. Very unlucky first up over the 1350m here behind Plumaro before being given three weeks off and racing over the mile where he did plenty wrong but was very good late behind Ceol Na Mara. 2000m, upside…he looks the one to beat, clearly. Just hoping he can put it all together.

Doomben Race Six Number 15 Bronzegate ($26):

I think he’s well and truly worth a throw at the stumps. I thought his run a fortnight back at this track/distance was outstanding given he was back in the run and had to make a sustained effort form around the 800m. Did a great job to get as close as he did. If he doesn’t have to do that kind of work this time, I think he’s the one at odds.

Doomben Race Eight Number 10 Plumaro ($8.50):

Gate one a massive negative, but she’s too good odds to pass up. Jag finally got her to the outside when racing over 1350m here two weeks ago and the result was an outstanding win. Was nominated for 1200m last week but has been saved for this. She’ll concede a start but she’ll produce the best late splits by far. A threat if they go hard in front.
