Over The Odds 24/6/2023 – Saturday’s Horse Racing Value Tips and Bets

Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Randwick Race One Number 2 Oakfield Duke ($9):

Oakfield Duke on top but not really a Midway I want to get involved in. He resumes for Kristen Buchanan, having not raced since Jan 14 in a Midway at Rosehill when down the track and was pretty plain in the straight behind the then in form Dalaalaat. Given a good break and with two strong trials under the belt, I think he’s ready to go and maps ideally.

Randwick Race Five Number 1 Aristonous ($16):

Aristonous looks one of the better bets on the program. Former French galloper that made his Australian debut for Annabel Neasham at Newcastle where he was wide no cover throughout and early on in the straight, he was just plugging after doing the work, but he picked up and attacked the line with purpose to win quite well. Either he beat camels, which isn’t the case IMO, or he’s a Stakes class horse of the future, which is a real potential. Keen on him.

Randwick Race Seven Number 15 Bazooka ($9):

Bazooka has won at the trip previously and the way he has returned, the rise to it now seems ideal. He ran over the mile here two weeks ago and I thought was pretty good from off the speed when a closing fourth to Democracy Manifest, beaten just over a length. Third up so should be hard fit now, can settle closer and still be effective late.

Caulfield Race Five Number 9 Magnaspin ($14):

Magnaspin looks to have come back in pretty good order for Team Corstens and is a key chance. He was big odds when racing three weeks ago at Flemington over this trip but you had to like the way he found the line late in the piece when a closing fourth to Brung King. Would love a rise in trip for him, which likely comes next start, but off the resumption, he’s in the mix.
