Over The Odds 14/1/2023 – Saturday’s Horse Racing Value Tips and Bets

Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Murray Bridge Race Eight Number 2 Morialta ($34):

I’ll take a punt on Morialta, who resumes for Stuart Padman. This gelding had a two run early Spring prep and didn’t really fire a shot each time, so he was tipped out soon after. He looks to have come back really well off a jumpout and trial, both here. 1000m is on the short side, but he will be strong late off what looks a very genuine tempo.

Rosehill Race Three Number 3 Zaru ($9.50):

Zaru is a ripper at this level for Joseph Burges and for me is one of the hardest to beat. He ran two weeks ago in a Highway at Randwick over 1400m where he got a fair way back in the run from the wide and was never really a threat but liked the way he finished his race off behind King Of Spades. He does have a liking for Rosehill and he’ll be hard to beat if he can settle closer in the run.

Rosehill Race Five Number 6 Regal Pom ($12):

Regal Pom looks suited up in trip with the run under the belt. Annabel Neasham trained four year old that had one soft trial leading into his return at Randwick on Boxing Day over 1200m and I thought he was a real eye catcher late in the piece behind Mission Value, finishing third. Might want one more and a rise to the mile, but that return was too good to ignore.

Rosehill Race Six Number 5 Kibosh ($8.00):

Kibosh is a very reliable mare for John Thompson that resumes. This girl hasn’t raced since around this time in 2021 when having a two run prep, the latest run being a second in the Malcolm Cusick on Gosford Guineas Day. Just one soft trial to get ready for her return but first up at 1200m tells me there is intent and ability wise, I do think she has something on these, so watch the market.
