Hellova Street has been the subject of a significant move to take out the Mowbray Stakes (1600m) at Launceston on Wednesday.
The last start Thomas Lyons winner, who bounced back to form big time there after a couple of failures here at Launceston, has been the best backed runner on the program to take out the feature mile contest. He opened $1,80 and has been hammered, now into $1.45.
His only real rival or threat on paper appears to be former local Royal Rapture, now with Darren Weir. He touched $3.90 from $4.60 but is back out to his opening price with the money coming for Hellova Street.
Outside that pair, there has been each way interest for Hellova Street’s stablemate Count Da Vinci ($11-$7.50).
