The feature sprint race at the Gold Coast this Saturday is the Magic Millions Snippets (1200m), where the market suggests it is an open contest.
Down below is a speed map, runner preview and $100 betting strategy for the 2026 Magic Millions Snippets.
2026 Magic Millions Snippets Runner Preview:
1. Hidden Wealth: Real line finder who just got there three weeks ago in The Falvelon, but I think a truly run 1200m may find him out.
2. The Instructor: Lands on speed and will take running down, as seen first-up in the Canterbury Sprint. Looked the winner when leading but first-up fitness and the weight told late. Better for the run, tough racing style and hard to get past.
3. Far Too Easy: His Falvelon return was a real eye-catcher the way he closed off. Just wish he was in the Cup over 1400m rather than staying at 1200m.
4. Payline: My head will go through the TV, computer or wall if this horse wins. Looks to overthink things and after last Saturday, I canโt have him.
5. Steady Ready: Well specked when resuming in the Bribie at Eagle Farm. Got into a nice spot just off speed but failed to finish off. Tick-over trial since was strong and his best is good enough to be dangerous at odds.
6. Spywire: Flying and won The Syndicate last Saturday, but Iโm not sold on that being a strong form reference and 1200m is a query.
7. Zealously: If this was 1000mโ1100m heโd be close to top seed. High-pressure 1200m is not for me.
8. Gin A Tonic: Absolutely humming for Richard Laming and must be respected after his dominant win at Caulfield Heath, leading throughout over 1200m and extending strongly to the line. Great racing style, in form and keeps running โ takes beating.
9. Pre Eminence: I like the way he goes about it but this looks a bridge too far.
10. Redford: SCR
11. Axius: Racing well but needs it easier.
12. Scampi: Good in defeat last Saturday but not up to this level.
13. Heavenly Impact: SCR

2026 Magic Millions Snippets Speed Map
Fast looks the order of the day in the feature sprint. Hidden Wealth and The Instructor will press forward and, drawn wide, they look set to go handlebars down along with Steady Ready trying to cross, so the tempo should be genuine. Gin A Tonic will also hunt forward.
