The money has continued to pour in for Capitalist to win the 2YO Magic Millions Classic with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au bringing him in from $1.70 into $1.65 thanks to a bet of $15,000.
Such is Capitalist’s dominance in betting, it’s the only runner under double figure odds, with Niccolance the second top pick at $10.
In the 3YO Guineas, it’s a three-way battle for favouritism between Egyptian Symbol ($4.40), Mahuta ($4.60) and Flippant ($5.00) according to the market, but punters have sided with Mahuta.
“70 percent of money invested on the 2YO race has gone on Capitalist so the punters think he’s a good thing,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Christian Jantzen.
Hot off the heels of another rich Magic Millions Sales, Sportsbet has opened a market on which of the purchases will take out next year’s 2YO Classic and not surprisingly, the $1.6 million Snitzel/Mirror Mirror colt is the equal $26 top pick alongside the $1.2 million Sepoy/Sister Madly colt.
