Ferro Nero didn’t really set the world on fire when resuming at Sale, but some Sportsbet.com.au punters know something because he has been well specked at odds to take out the David Bourke Provincial Plate (1600m) this Saturday at Flemington.
He resumed at Sale and made ground without threatening behind Heza Ripper. But he has been well supported. He opened $51 but is now sitting at $26. Award Of Merit is the $3.30 favourite, just ahead of Royal Rapture at $3.60.
Next best is Artie’s Shore at $3.90.
