Trial Watch – Flemington 26/06/2015

There were some pretty impressive efforts at the Flemington jump outs on Friday, most notably from the Corstens yard. Find out down below who caught our eye the most.

Flemington- Friday, June 26, Weather Fine, Track Good.

Heat One- Spruiking (1st):

Frustrating gelding for Kav. He has always looked the part at the jump outs, but has floundered on race day. Looked sharp in winning this jump out though. Got away brilliantly to lead by a space, travelled well, and despite being eased down the final 100m, he won the jump out comfortably and ran good time. Hopefully he can reproduce trial form to race day form.

Heat Two- Kraftwerk (3rd):

Talented gelding that won well when resuming at Geelong (Metro) before going to the Scone Carnival and finishing midfield in a hot form race. He has been given a little freshen up and looks back in good order based on this jump out, where he sat off the speed, cut the corner and coasted to the line under a hold in running third.

Heat Four- Cool Rules (1st):

Hayes/Dabernig runner that showed a bit of promise last time in, back in the Spring/Summer, performing well at the Valley on a couple of occasions. He looks to have come back in pretty good order. Got away well to share the lead, holding down the inside, then was given a little squeeze and he responded very well, putting them away and winning by a comfortable space.

Heat Five- Leadfoot (1st):Another gelding that is talented yet has been very frustrating to follow. Hasn’t raced since January, but he looks to have come back in good order and is set to win races this prep. Got away smartly from the gates to lead comfortably against the rail. He was challenged hard in the straight, but was under a good hold from the rider and look pretty sharp.
