Third placegetter Hellenism eased on raceday from $3.60 to $6.50 (touched $7)

Jailbreak ($6.50-$5.50) and Foxie La Belle (opened $31; $14-$7.50 on raceday) unplaced

Snitz defied the betting drift and cleared away to win first-up since late November

Snitz eased in raceday betting from $9.50 to $12

Runner-up Jen Rules hovered between $12 to $14 before closing $12

Third placegetter Outrageous was also easy in the market on raceday ($8 to $9.50)

Unplaced favourite Groundswell was backed from $7.50 to $5 before closing $6

One bet of $5,000 at $5 was placed on Groundswell

Race 3

Rubisaki stretched her winning streak to six races in the James H.B. Carr Stakes

Rubisaki received 72 percent of the win hold but drifted from as short as $1.50 to $1.80

One TAB punter placed $10,000 at $1.70 on Wednesday minutes after betting opened

Raceday bets included $10,000 at $1.80$7,000 at $1.75 and $6,000 at $1.50

The unplaced Rocha Clock tightened on raceday from $10 to $6 second elect

Subpoenaed ($13) and St Covet’s Spirit ($41) were the minor placegetters

Race 4

Backers of Kinane celebrated after landing a terrific plunge in the Frank Packer Plate

Kinane opened $21 on Wednesday and was continually supported to close $7

One TAB punter placed a $6,000 wager at $6.50 on Kinane late in betting

Third placegetter Entente was backed from $8 to $5 including $10,000 at $5 late

The unplaced Chuck A Luck was $8.50-$6.50-$7 with a $6,000 bet at $6.50

Unplaced favourite Quick Thinker opened $2 on Wednesday and closed $4.20

Bottega ($8) was the runner-up

Race 5

King’s Legacy displayed the toughness from the Inglis Sires’ to win the Champagne Stakes

King’s Legacy hardly budged from the $2.60-$2.70 mark and closed $2.70

Late bets of note included $11,000 and $5,000 at $2.70

Third placegetter Ole Kirk was $4 out to as much as $4.80 on raceday; closed $4.60

Runner-up Glenfiddich ($18 to $31 on raceday) almost caused a boilover

Race 6

In a close finish, Life Less Ordinary nabbed Greysful Glamour late in the JRA Plate

Life Less Ordinary touched $7.50 on raceday before closing $9

One TAB punter placed $2,000 the win / $5,000 the place at $8/$2.60

Greysful Glamour was popular on raceday having firmed from $9 to $6

Third placegetter Shared Ambition eased as favourite from $2.80 to $4.20

The drift enticed wagers of $12,000 at $3.70 and $5,000 at $4

Best Of Days ($11 to $6 on raceday; one bet of $7,000 at $6) was unplaced

Race 7

In the shadows of the post, Tofane edged out Pierata in the All Aged Stakes

Tofane received early support when $15 was posted on Wednesday

On raceday, Tofane did ease from $10 to $12 with one bet of $1,500 at $12

Pierata drifted on raceday from $4.20 favourite to $5 second elect

One bet of $5,000 each-way at $5/$1.95 was placed on Pierata late

The unplaced Bivouac was backed from $4.60 to $3.50 favourite on raceday

One TAB punter placed $5,000 at $3.90 on Bivouac

Third placegetter Super Seth received raceday support ($21 to $10)

Race 8

Greyworm thwarted the huge hand of Godolphin to take out the TAB Hall Mark Stakes

Greyworm landed a plunge having tightened from $7.50 to $5 on raceday

Early backers rejoiced as well as Greyworm opened $14 on Wednesday

Runner-up Trekking eased in raceday betting from $4.80 to $6

Third placegetter Kementari also drifted on raceday from $4 to $4.80

Unplaced favourite Deprive was $3.70 to as much as $4.20 before closing $4

Race 9

Most punters failed to land the winner of the last race with Ranier an upset victor

Ranier drifted noticeably on raceday from $13 to $26

One TAB punter showed faith placing a $1,000 wager at $26 on Ranier

Unplaced favourite Military Zone shortened from $6.50 to $4.60 on raceday

Runner-up Phaistos hovered around $4.60-$4.80 for most of raceday; closed $5

The plunge on Cuba ($19 to $9 on raceday) failed to materialise

Dealmaker ($12) was the third placegetter

One bet of $5,000 at $19 was placed on Chief Ironside late in betting

Race 1

Jumbo Ozaki was able to hold off the challengers in the opening race

Jumbo Ozaki hovered around the $4-$4.20 mark on raceday and closed $4 favourite

Runner-up Sikorsky was between $9-10 for the majority of raceday; closed $9.50

Third placegetter Arctic Shock was specked late from as much as $17 to $14

The unplaced Simply Optimistic vied for favouritism but eased on raceday from $4.40 to $5

One TAB punter placed $7,000 at $4.80 on Simply Optimistic

Race 2

Despite drifting in betting, Clarice Cliffs was devastating in the VOBIS Gold Distaff

Clarice Cliffs eased from $2.70 to $3.10 on raceday but powered away in the last 150 metres

Unplaced favourite Twitchy Frank was backed from as much as $2.60 to $2.30 on raceday

Twitchy Frank accounted for 55 percent of the win hold on the VOBIS Gold Distaff

Something Silver ($26) and Pure Scot ($13) were the minor placegetters

Race 3

Favourite punters were left lamenting after Pippie was unplaced in the VOBIS Gold Sprint

Pippie opened $2.15 on Wednesday, touched $1.85 on raceday before closing $2

65 percent of the win hold was on Pippie with $6,000 and dual $5,000 bets at $1.95

Vainstream was specked late from as much as $14 to $11

Street Icon ($23 to $71 on raceday) and Teleplay ($15) were the minor placegetters

Race 4

Odds-on favourite Mr Quickie was unable to reel in Sentimentalist in the VOBIS Gold Heath

Mr Quickie finished second to the chagrin of favourite backers with 56 percent of support

One TAB customer plonked $27,083 at $1.80 on Mr Quickie (closed $1.85; touched $1.75)

Sentimentalist was specked ($17-$11) along with the unplaced Grand Crown ($7.50-$5.50)

Think We’re Due ($9 to $18 on raceday) finished third

Race 5

So Si Bon rewarded patient backers with his first win since last August in the VOBIS Gold Mile

So Si Bon was backed from $5.50 to as short as $4.20 before closing $4.60 favourite

Third placegetter Iconoclasm was rock solid on raceday closing $5 after $5.50 was offered

The unplaced Mahamedeis shortened on raceday from $7.50 to $5.50

Street Sheik ($18) was the runner-up

Race 6

Khoekhoe produced a devastating burst in the last 100 metres to claim The Showdown

In an open affair, Khoekhoe drifted from $11 to $14 on raceday

Runner-up River Night was backed from $7 to $5.50 favourite on raceday

One-time favourite Archipeta Beach ($5.50 to $7 on raceday) was unplaced

Chrome Angel ($8 to $6.50 to raceday) and Halvoya (opened $17; closed $9) also unplaced

Galactic Fury ($26 to $61 on raceday) finished third

Race 7

William Thomas flew down the outside in the last 200 metres to win the Bel Esprit Stakes

William Thomas was backed from $15 to $8.50 on raceday before closing $11

Runner-up Humma Humma was also supported late from as much as $9 to $6.50

Third placegetter Coruscate eased slightly late in betting ($7.50 to $8.50)

Unplaced favourite Lyre ($6 to $4.60 on raceday) finished fourth

Punters continued to find the going tough with Lankan Star winning the VOBIS Gold Dash

Lankan Star drifted throughout betting on raceday from $18 to $23

Runner-up Paul’s Regret could not land the plunge (firmed from $19 to $9 on raceday)

Third placegetter Felicia eased from $4.80 to as much as $7.50 before closing $7

Favourite Knowles ($4.40-$3.70-$4) and Sartorial Splendor ($12-$7) were unplaced

One bet of $5,000 at $5.50 on the unplaced Broadwayandfourth

Race 9

In another blowout result, $61 chance Florent saluted in the VOBIS Sires’ Guineas

The Tony Noonan-trained filly Florent drifted on raceday from $31 to $61

Third placegetter Affair To Remember was $4.20 to $3.50 on raceday (touched $3.10)

Bets of note included $15,000 and $8,000 at $3.30 plus $5,000 at $3.10

Beehunter ($12 to $8.50) and La Chevalee ($51 to $16) were both unplaced

Leale ($31) was the runner-up

Black Caviar Lightning winner Gytrash thrashed his rivals in the R.N. Irwin Stakes

Gytrash opened $2.40 on Wednesday and closed $2.05 favourite on raceday

Runner-up Sunlight was as short as $2.30 on raceday before closing $2.50

One bet of $7,000 at $2.40 was placed on Sunlight

Home Of The Brave ($16 to $21 on raceday) finished third

Garner proved far too strong for this rivals in the Redelva Stakes

Garner was solid in the market hovering around $4.80-$5 on raceday (closed $5)
