Al Galayel was unwanted early in betting but punters have crunched his odds this morning
Punters have waited until close to the start of the first before opening their wallets on the feature the $250,000 Hobart Cup with a flood of money now coming for the favourite.
The Maher/Eustace trained Al Galayel opened at $3.20 in markets on Wednesday but wasn’t favoured by punters which saw him ease out to $3.60 but as time closed in on the first of the card punters have shown heavy support for the class runner of the field.
Al Galayel was at $3.50 in markets this morning but the big money has come for him which has seen his odds slashed into his current price of $2.50 and looks like he may start shorter if the support continues.
With the money for the favourite nearly all other runners have eased in betting.
