A three-year-old gelding has been sensationally backed to win on debut in the opening race at Gold Coast on Wednesday.
Punters have rallied behind the Donald Baker-trained Chocolate Oreo who opened up at $12 with online bookmaker Sportsbet before being smashed into his current $3.40 quote.
Chocolate Oreo is out of the dam Bradbury Chocolate, a mare who won her first 7 race starts starts under the same trainer back in 2011-2012.
Chocolate Oreo, who hasn’t had a public trial, sits on the second line of betting behind short-priced favourite Fuji Flyer ($1.50 – $1.40).
