Punters think Trekking to make it a picket fence at Caulfield today
Trekking has been so reliable since being gelded and punters are pinning their faith in him when it comes to the Ladbrokes Village Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield this Wednesday.
The James Cummings trained four year old hasn’t raced since winning at the track/distance last time, saluting in the Testa Rossa. He’s hard fit, in form, draws well and isn’t badly treated at the weights. Plenty to like and punters agree, backing him into $3.20 after opening $3.50.
The huge unknown is the former Bjorn Baker galloper Addictive Nature, now with Darren Weir. He was $3 in from $3.20 but is back to the opening price with the support for Trekking.
