Melody Belle holds 15-times more money than any other runner in the JJ Atkins
Kiwi filly Melody Belle is a heavily backed favourite to notch her second Group 1 win in Saturday’s J.J Atkins Stakes at Doomben.
Melody Belle has firmed from $2.50 into $2.10 with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.
She holds 15-times more money than local hope Capital Gain, which has eased from $5.50 to $8.50.
The only other runner to attract firm interest is Tangled ($13).
In Derby betting Ruthven has tightened from $7.50 into $5.00 joint favourite and heads the market alongside Shocking Luck.
Early favourite Volatile Mix is not popular with punters and has eased from $4.80 out to $6.50.
