The final field and barriers were released for the 2019 Golden Slipper Stakes this morning thus there has been quite a few changes in the market.
The Drift for the favourite has seen a few others tighten in with Cosmic Force the biggest firmer at the head of the market and is now the clear $5.00 favourite after an ultra impressive win in the Pago Pago Stakes on the weekend.
“Cosmic Force handled the wet perfectly in winning last Saturday’s Pago Pago and it makes sense that he is favourite this week as we are expecting similar conditions for the Golden Slipper,” TAB’s Andrew Georgiou said.
“Two of the Godolphin runners in Microphone and Tenley are on the second line of betting and have been extremely popular over the past few weeks.
“Another of the Godolphin horses, Pin Sec, has gone $21-$17 since the draw this morning.”
Godolphin pair Tenley and Microphone remained rock solid at their price of $6.00 whilst stablemate Exhilarates has been a notable drifter drawing barrier 18 which has seen her odds drift from $10 out to $17.
The rest of the market has remained similar in what looks to be one of the most open Golden Slipper editions in recent years.
