One of the feature races at Randwick this Saturday is the Chelmsford Stakes (1600m), where the market says it is an open contest.

1. Ceolwulf: Ripping return in the Winx…just waiting for the Blinkers in the King Charles (hopefully).
2. Lindermann: Lindermann was a total forgive from the Winx Stakes IMO. He did too much work chasing Midnight Dynamite and tired to finish down the track. Think he gets front end control this time around and takes running down.
3. Campaldino: Handy stayer on a Cups path you’d assume, suspect he needs the run.
4. Soul Of Spain: He wasn’t bad in the Rowley Mile at Hawkesbury but needs more racing and more ground.
5. The Euphrates: Talented import when right it appears, extensive trial work for the Aussie debut…happy to just watch.
6. Travolta: Needed the run in the Goulburn Cup and looks up against it here.
7. Green Spaces: Green Spaces is ticking along nicely towards the Cups. He resumed in the Winx and while he was never a winning threat, I really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Autumn Glow. Think he’ll run a beauty here.
8. Attica: SCR
9. Fangirl: I really want to find Fangirl in the Tramway…not this race. Not suited by the fast tempo in the Winx Stakes and was never a factor. More gentle tempo this time around, and J Mac sticks, plus the yard experts said she was the standout in the Winx…but 1600m vs 1400m I cannot entertain her.
10. Piggyback: Was the real eye catcher a few weeks ago and is in for a ripping prep…maybe waiting for The Metropolitan?
