Blair House short odds in Mackinnon Stakes betting

Blair House is the short priced favourite for Saturday's $2m Mackinnon Stakes

Charlie Appleby has had a wonderful Spring and punters are confident he will end on a high in the Group One Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) at Flemington this Saturday.

The Melbourne Cup winning trainer will saddle up Blair House, who ran a ripping second to Benbatl in the Caulfield Stakes and we know what horse did in the Cox Plate. He’s at $2.20 and is very solid as the favourite, with some nice size bets rolling in.

The key threat appears to be Latrobe, who runs here despite most assuming he would head to the Melbourne Cup. He’s a $5.50 chance, out from $5, but does hold a decent amount of money from the all in market.

The specking has been for It’s Somewhat, who is $19 in from $21, with a few each way bets rolling in.
