$100 Win Miss Amelia R6 @ $1.80 (Sportsbet)
Nowra Overview:
Tough day across Australia, so not going to over complicate it and back a couple of, IMO, good things. Miss Amelia is a regally bred filly on debut for Bjorn Baker, being by More Than Ready out of former top class juvenile Amelia’s Dream. Has had three career trials to date, with one this prep and wowee, wasn’t it something else at Warwick Farm over 800m when going through her gears under a good hold. Looks above average and should put this field away. No spoils re price, but I think it’s more than acceptable for a filly who can go straight to midweek metro grade and go through her grades.

$100 Win Alaskan Honey R3 @ $3 (Sportsbet)
Sale Overview:
Alaskan Honey looks an absolute moral against this lot IMO. Resumed over the mile at Pakenham and it was pretty much a barrier trial behind Sir Gawain. Backed up a week later over 2500m where Olly gave her a 12/10 steer and she was home, but the lack of race fitness just beat her I think. Was confident she’d run well at Bendigo yesterday but connections go with the maiden, where she looks just so well placed now she’s had the decent run under the belt. Normal luck and she should prove far too good for this average lot.
