Kempsey
$50 Win Delayed Response R2 @ $2.45 (BetEasy)
$50 Win Dreamy Belle R3 @ $2 (Sportsbet)
Kempsey Overview:
I’m red hot on Delayed Response being a nice horse. Was all over her when she was down to debut at Coffs a couple of weeks back but was taken out. Price is nothing flash compared to Coffs, but her trial was enormous and this is a very thin race. Should be winning provided she handles the track. Dreamy Belle was well backed first up at Gosford but was wide no cover behind Transmitter, who ran well at Canterbury. The Kris Lees mare then went to Newcastle where she was near a furious tempo and fought on well over 900m. Just looks to be no depth to this field and she should get a win on the board.
Stawell
$5 Win/$25 Place Burnvale Lady R6 @ $15/$4.2 (Sportsbet)
$50 Win Surprise Baby R7 @ $4.4 (BetEasy)
$20 Multi @ $58.62 (Sportsbet)
Agente Fiscale R1 Win
Wherever Hugo R2 Place
Stable Me R3 Place
Burnvale Lady R6 Place
Stawell Overview:
The $4.40 about Surprise Baby looks very acceptable. 2/2 for Paul Preusker and has shown really good promise each time he stepped. Not sure he beat much last time at Horsham on the bog, but he rounded them up very easily, won impressively and ran good late splits relative to the day. 1300m on the bigger track looks ideal and hopefully Pakaya Prince can set a decent tempo. The multi is a throw at the stumps but if Agente Fiscale can lead all the way in the first, we’re in with a chance. Wherever Hugo has looked a little lost in two runs to date so I like the blinkers going on and he finds a thin race. Stable Me resumed on the bog at Horsham and worked home well from the back. Should do no work from the gate. And Burnvale Lady just looks stupid odds for mine. I think she’s flying and if she can sit closer from the good draw, gee she’ll take some beating.
