Sunday Results: $40 Loss
Last 10 Days: LLWLLWLWLL
Overall Results (Since June 7): $2761 Profit
Bet One- Win- Darwin Race One Number 3 Evil Miss:
This girl hasn’t raced since June 6 over 1100m here where she did a bit of work to be on speed but that early burn didn’t matter to her as she careered away late and bolted in. Form out of that race has been solid, Maskiell steers, she’s a bomb when produced fresh…she’ll do me. $3+ is acceptable. Anything shorter and I’d be steering clear.
Suggested Bet: $35 Win at $3 (Crownbet)
Bet Two- Win- Darwin Race Four Number 2 Jayeffkay:
Had his first run at Darwin on June 30 over 1200m when sitting just off the speed out wide and finishing off nicely enough late when second to Beleaguer, a proven handy horse from SA. Form out of that race has been good, been kept on ice for this and draws a lovely gate. Looks a near good thing for mine.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $3.60 (Sportsbet)
Bet Three- Each Way- Darwin Race Nine Number 7 Lieder:
Great each way gamble in the Cup. He comes through the main lead up, won by Senior Council, but I thought Lieder was one of the runs of the race. Had to make a long searching run from around the 800-900 mark whereas the winner had the suck box seat sit and last say. Hopefully Jamie Kah can have him closer in the run. If that’s the case, clearly the horse to beat.
Suggested Bet: $15 Win/$20 Place (Tote)
Bet Four- Win- Forbes Race Four Number 1 Good Verdict:
If he can naturally improve from the resumption, gee I think he’ll take some beating here. Resumed over 1310m at Dubbo where he was wide throughout and had his chance to drop out but he kept finding, surging and just missed out on the win. Should get a much better run in transit and is one of the better bets on Forbes Cup Day.
Suggested Bet: $20 Win at $5 (Sportsbet)
Bet Five- Win- Geelong Race Two Number 16 Star Creation:
No prices up at the timing of writing this, but hoping for black figures for what looks the good thing of the entire day. Just did that little bit of extra work on speed last time over the Echuca mile but did hit the front and looked home, only to be nabbed late. Run of the race stuff from gate one and being by Reset, wet track no issue.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Total Spend: $170
