Punters are keeping their powder dry when it comes to the feature at Belmont this Saturday, the Belmont Sprint (1400m), with nothing backed with real confidence in early betting.
The low flying Battle Hero heads the betting at $3.50 and has been pretty solid after opening $3.40. He holds the call over Kingston Town winner Pounamu, who is at $4. He opened that price and did get down to $3.80.
Railway winner Great Shot was $7.50 in from $8.50 and has settled at $8. The other met with some interest is Old Comrade winner Falcon Crest ($8-$6.50-$7.50).
