One of the feature races at Morphettville this Saturday is the Australasian Oaks (2000m), where Getta Good Feeling dominates betting.
Down below is a speed map, runner preview and $100 betting strategy for 2026 Australasian Oaks.
2026 Australasian Oaks Runner Preview:
1. Strictly Business: The two sides of the fence are that she either needs racing, been set for this…or, she has looked like a camel in both runs back and is cast. I am saying she’s the latter and want to be against her.
2. Getta Good Feeling: I honestly think it is a case of good luck beating Getta Good Feeling. 2/2 this time, winning first up over a sprint trip before going to the mile at Caulfield where she gave them a start and a beating despite conceding decent weight. Hard fit now, up to a pet trip, set weights, sense of timing…she looks lengths better than these.
3. Salty Pearl: Talented filly and was game in the Vinery Stud…but she did have every chance there. Gets a similar run this time around but just want to be against her.
4. Panova: Panova is four weeks between runs since contesting the Vinery Stud when back off speed and tried to get involved but just whacked in the run to the line. Like her with fresh legs into this, she gets J Mac on and her best is clearly good enough.
5. Mating Call: Great ride and knuckled down with purpose to win the Auraria. Tricky gate again, more depth, but I say she’s one of the leading local contenders.
6. Spicy Lu: SCR
7. Freedom Flame: Given a 12/10 in the Auraria and was there to win but found Mating Call too good. Similar run again but not sure about her at 2000m.
8. Bona Storza: Lot to like about her last start win at Riccarton but gee her form looks suspect.
9. Stung: Market said she was a moral in the Auraria but she didn’t fire a shot. If you can forgive one bad run, she was dominant in the Clare Lindop. Must for exotics.
10. Savitri: Progressive filly fot Mitch Freedman but I don’t think she is up to these.
11. Kazaru: Kazaru looks the one from the Auraria. She was fresh and got back to near last in the run but really liked the way she finished her race off in defeat behind Mating Call. Like her up to 2000m with the run under the belt, she appeals.
12. Paltrow Miss: Had every chance when second to Savitri at Caulfield last time. Not for me here.
13. Naraghi: Gave a good sight in the Auraria when leading and sticking on for third but think there are a few better than her here.
14. Just Kick: Has that sense of timing to run well. Eye catching behind Savitri at Caulfield and will love 2000m. Knockout hope.
15. Synthesise: Good in the Clare Lindop then was never a factor in the Auraria. I got others ahead of her.
16. Cushioned: Good win from off speed at Pakenham but this looks much harder.
17. Oui Oui Ma Cherie (First Emergency): Plain in the Aurarua and will struggle.
18. Thundara (Second Emergency): SCR
19. Boomeroo (Third Emergency): Gave her a good shout in the Auraria but she did nothing so she goes through to the keeper.
20. Innominate (Fourth Emergency): SCR

2026 Australasian Oaks Speed Map
Drawn the carpark, I suspect it will be handlebars down with Spicy Lu to find the front. Freedom Flame should hold a lovely spot from the inside gate. Salty Pearl should hold a decent spot from the inside draw.
