The bookies continue to cheer at Rosehill on Coolmore Classic day with Zavite the rank outside of the Ranvet takes the race at 81/1 with Descardo boxing on strongly in second and Hawk Island running on strongly with Maluckyday into third and fourth respectively.
Big-race specialist Glen Boss has done it again, lifting outsider Zavite to victory in the Group One Ranvet Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.

The Anthony Cummings-trained eight-year-old controlled the 2000m weight-for-age feature from the front, with Boss setting what he said was “a nice generous pace”.
“He gave me a good ride, he’s a good stayer.
“I’m very proud of the horse.
“Full credit to the horse, he’s a very capable racehorse.”
Zavite looked certain to be beaten in the straight when the Gai Waterhouse-trained Caulfield Cup winner Descarado loomed up menacingly and hit the lead.
But the Zabeel gelding refused to throw in the towel and came again to score narrowly but decisively.
Hawk Island was third.
It was Zavite’s first win on a track worse than dead and took his overall record to 11 wins and nine placings from 60 starts for prizemoney in excess of $2.35 million.
He paid more than $46 on the NSW TAB.
