All eyes will be on Rosehill this weekend when The Run To The Rose takes centre stage.
The Group 2 sprint over 1200m is traditionally the launching pad for the Golden Rose, Caulfield Guineas and Coolmore Stud Stakes, and this year’s edition has drawn a star-studded field.
G1 winner Nepotism headlines the line-up for the Hawkes stable alongside Devil Night, while Chris Waller saddles up Wodeton, Autumn Boy and Beiwacht.
Rivellino, Raging Force, Skyhook and North England add further depth, with King Of Pop completing the field.
Beadman, a leading colt in early spring markets, won’t feature here but looms large for future targets.
With so many of the season’s headline three-year-olds clashing for the first time, The Run To The Rose is set to shape the pecking order heading into the major Group 1 contests of the spring.
