Mr Brightside and I Wish I Win will meet again for the first time since their clash in the 2023 Memsie Stakes at Saturday’s Futurity Stakes. Last time, Mr Brightside narrowly edged out his rival, but the Peter Moody/Katherine Coleman stable is confident that I Wish I Win is back on form after a disappointing run in the Everest that ended his spring campaign last year.
The 1400m race will also feature Tom Kitten and Pericles for Godolphin, along with Pinstriped, Freedom Rally, and Semana, who are all coming off runs in the C.F Orr Stakes.
Private Life is another potential starter in the prestigious contest.
Mr Brightside is the odds on favourite the market with betting sites at $1.90 ahead of I Wish I Win at $4.80 and Tom Kitten at $8.00. All other runners are in double figures.
