OMG – oh my goodness.
The ignorance shown from these American commentators is laughable.
As are the missives all over social media by horse players without a clue.
Firstly, watch the footage and notice – pay close attention to – the inside horse with the blue cap on because he is the one who started and therefore caused all the interference.
By the way, I HATE that North American racing folk refer to the horses by numbers and not names. And they scratch their heads over falling crowds (sans COVID).
Anyway, their focus is on the push-off of the green jock – known hereafter as The 3.
What they miss in their wild suggestions of whatever, is that The 3 and indeed the horse to his outside, The 4, had zero to do with the cause and result.
Those jocks came together as a chain reaction. And there was NOTHING illegal or untoward as they just keep hammering.
Each of the 4 riders in the lead, did their best to simply stay on board and all showed tremendous horsemanship.
Anyway, you decide but I cant imagine Haynsie and The Duff and Munz talking like this about horses effected by a rough-house race….while totally missing the culprit.
By the way, The 1 horse (inside blue cap) was the ONLY horse DQ in the race.
