Emphatic last start Ipswich Cup winner Maurus has opened as the short priced favourite for Saturday’s Caloundra Cup at the Sunshine Coast.
Markets opened for the race this afternoon with the David Vandyke trained galloper heading the odds at $1.70 before drifting slightly to his current price of $1.75.
Puccini has been well backed early ($17 into $16) as has long shot Instrumentalist ($41 into $26).
