Online bookmaker Sportsbet.com.au was taken a bet of $1000 on the $18 chance, with 21% of all money bet on the field going on The Fox.
In a wide betting race, Henwood is the current favourite at $5.50.
“It’s a final so there’s no lazy dogs, but plenty of punters obviously think that Dany The Fox is good value at $18, with not a lot of support the favourite Henwood,’’ Sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson said.
The Cleaner is on the second line of betting at $6.50, but is basically friendless and Akavoroun ($7.00) is the best backed runner.
