Acceptances for Victoria’s premier juvenile race, the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m), will be taken tomorrow.With 24 hours until acceptance time, we look at the likely field for the race.
There have been a lot of changes in the last couple of days.
Golden Archer is a confirmed non-runner, with Peter Moody saying they wouldn’t pay the late entry fee of $55000.
Other likely non-runners are Masthead, Eramor and Motifs, with Delago’s Lad a 50-50 chance.
Lee Freedman will decide this morning whether to pay the late entry fee for Atomic.
Incredibly, despite being well down the order, it looks as though plunge galloper Envious may get a run.
Envious was the first horse to be backed in Blue Diamond betting, coming in from $71 to $17.
He debuted with an okay 4th behind Sepoy in the Blue Diamond Preview.
He is currently $51 with TAB Sportsbet.
Sepoy retains favouritism at $1.70, ahead of Hallowell Belle at $8.50.
