The $100,000 Listed Swettenham Stud Lord Stakes (1600m) is the feature event at the meeting set down for Mornington this Tuesday. The race will be run away from Caulfield for the first time since 1987 thanks to the merger between the Mornington and Melbourne Racing Clubs. The 2011 edition shapes up to be a good one with several Group One performed horses doing battle for the $60,000 first prize cheque.
