Nathaniel has been given a late entry for the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on September 8.
The John Gosden-trained four-year-old has returned better than ever this season, winning the Eclipse and going down by the narrowest of margins in his defence of the King George.
Nathaniel was not among the original list of entries but connections have paid STG20,000 ($A30,522) to add him to the field.
