No decision has yet been made over whether Delegator will run in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville on Sunday.
The Saeed bin Suroor-trained five-year-old finished last of nine in the Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last week, but connections were quick to blame the ground for that display.
Not much has gone Delegator’s way since he returned to action with a win in the Duke of York Stakes.
He was forced to miss Royal Ascot on account of the ground, and was then drawn on the wrong side for the July Cup.
He was also struck into at Goodwood, but has now recovered from those exertions.
“He’s sound now and fresh and happy. We have no problems at all with him. He’s in good form,” Bin Suroor said.
“Frankie (Dettori) said he didn’t like the ground at Goodwood. His action was all wrong, it was too soft for him and it didn’t suit him at all.
“We’ll keep all options open for him, but he’s in good form and doing well and really enjoying his exercise.
“He’s entered in France this weekend, and other races also, but we’ll let people know as soon as we decide.”
