Flight Stakes winner Streama is among a star studded line-up for Friday’s barrier trials at Randwick ahead of a campaign which could culminate in a clash with unbeaten Melbourne filly Atlantic Jewel.

Streama will joined by her Guy Walter-trained stablemate Doctor Doom at the trials and also at Warwick Farm on February 18 where she contests the Light Fingers Stakes and he runs in the Royal Sovereign.

The pair gave trainer Walter a golden afternoon in October when Streama won the Flight Stakes and Doctor Doom the Spring Champion.

Doctor Doom is to be aimed at the Rosehill Guineas and Australian Derby while Streama’s likely Group One missions include the Coolmore Classic and a possible clash with Atlantic Jewel.

“The plan is for both of them to race on February 18,” Walter said.

“Streama runs in the Light Fingers and Doctor Doom the Royal Sovereign.

“She will be aimed at the Coolmore and possibly the Doncaster. And if Atlantic Jewel is there, what a race it would be.”

Streama won the Flight Stakes by 6-1/4 lengths over Hallowell Belle and was immediately spelled significantly reducing the strength of the Mark Kavanagh-trained Atlantic Jewel’s opposition.

Atlantic Jewel claimed her Group One in the Thousand Guineas but missed the Oaks when she was found to be sore after her Wakeful Stakes win.

Both Streama and Doctor Doom will run in 850m trials with the latter to face Group One placed sprinter Foxwedge.

Group One winning stayers Descarado, Herculian Prince, Zavite and Shootoff will run over 1200 metres while a 1000m heat has been added to accommodate star sprinter Hay List.

Brisbane Cup winner Tullamore has been taken out of his 1200m heat to run in the 1000m trial while 2010 Doncaster winner Rangirangdoo will also run there instead of over 850 metres.
