The Gai Waterhouse-trained King Lionheart, a luckless fourth in the Listed Tattersall’s Club Cup last start, has been given topweight of 59.5kg in next week’s $125,000 Gosford Cup.

The five-year-old has won six of his 16 starts and been placed five times for prizemoney in excess of $300,000.

His weight is three kilograms more than New Zealander Mr Tipsy while Tatt’s Club Cup winner Straight Albert has 55.5kg in next Thursday’s 2100m Listed provincial feature.

Straight Albert, trained by Guy Walter at Warwick Farm, will be chasing his fourth straight success after winning the Goulburn Cup (1600m) and a 1600m race at Warwick Farm before stepping up to 2095m in his Tatt’s Club Cup win at Warwick Farm on Monday.

Chris Waller’s three representatives – Alexander Of Hales, Altered Boy and Wazn – were all allocated the minimum of 54kg when 19 horses were weighted for the race on Thursday.
