Caulfield Race Five Number 1 Stoker ($11.00):
Talented youngster for Tony McEvoy who worked home well when resuming in the Lightning Stakes (1050m) behind Wild Rain, coming from near last on the turn. He has form around Headwater, and he wasn’t far away in the Blue Diamond. Ollie back on board and he did steer the horse home to his lone career run. $11 seems great overs.
Rosehill Race Three Number 4 Centre Pivot ($13.00):
Above average type who strung together a number of wins last time in when trained by Sam Kavanagh. Now with John Sargent and resumed a couple of weeks back and appeared to struggle on the soft track behind Countryman. Likely dry track will really suit this horse and he is now fitter, so he is the sharp improver for mine and looks the value at $13.
Doomben Race One Number 2 Kaypers ($6.00):
Really surprised to see that he is $6, because he really should be around the $3.50-$4 mark. He worked home well late last time out behind Shotover River, beaten just under 1.5L, and he now gets a 1.5kg weight pull on Shotover River, plus Kaypers handles wet tracks better. Looks tremendous overs at $6 and that should be snapped up.
Morphettville Race Six Number 2 Goldbya ($31.00):
Talented yet frustrating gelding that is having his first crack at 2000m after running last weekend where he made up good ground late without threatening to win. Gets in well at the weights after the claim for Emily Finnegan, and taking away Tidy Prophet, the race is pretty thin, so if the fav is off his game, then it really is anyones race, and this horse does represent value at $31.
