With the announcement of the 2010 Golden Rose field this morning, TAB where the first ones to release their early market fixed odds and its not surprising to see the very impressive Masquerader as the early market favourite at $4.20 closely followed by the 2010 Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily at $4.60.The David Payne trained Masquerader has been announced as the early market favourite for Saturday’s Group 1 Golden Rose at Rosehill Racecourse after a very impressive first up 2nd to Squamosa in the Run To The Rose.
The second favourite in the market is the 2010 Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily whom should be much fitter from her 2nd place finish behind Panipique in the Quezette Stakes at Caulfield.
Other runners in the market are Vain Stakes winner Toorak Toff, Gerald Ryan’s star colt Hinchinbrook and unbeaten son of Not a Single Doubt “Squamosa”.
Last years Golden Rose was won by Denman, and this years race looks to be even better in which we think every runner has a great chance of taking out the $650,000 winners cheque.
