7 Midnight Star (Bet Now: $8.50) should take beating after a first up run for the new stable over 1300m here. She got back to near last in the run but worked home with real purpose in a good effort in defeat. Good upside to come and if within range, she can launch late over the top.

3 Uncompromised (Bet Now: $13.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. He comes through the Coolgardie Sprint when back and was okay late without threatening. Like the rise in trip and this is a winnable race.

3 I Dreamed A Dream (Bet Now: $13.00) is a Steve Wolfe trained gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since July 25 at Belmont when down the track over 2100m. Fresh at the mile signals intent and despite no public trials, watch betting.

5 Eternal Romance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. Three weeks between runs since racing at Belmont when wide throughout and the hard run told late in the piece. Think with a better run in transit, against a field like this, she takes beating I say.

2 Dirty Habits (Bet Now: $3.60) steps up to 2200m after racing over the mile at Belmont last time. He got into a decent spot and was there to threaten but just whacked in the run to the line. If he can run the 2200m, he’s good enough to threaten.

7 Heavenly Rapture (Bet Now: $6.50) is dangerous at a likely price. Mitch Pateman trained mare that ran over this trip at Northam last Wednesday when getting into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but lacked the killer blow. This is a very thin race and she doesn’t need to improve much to be a threat.

5 Hedawood (Bet Now: $4.80) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1200m at Belmont, getting a fair way out of his ground but liked the way he finished his race off in defeat behind With Discretion. Like the rise to 1400m and with a positive ride, he’s dangerous.

7 Playing Games (Bet Now: $10.00) is capable. She ran over 1300m here last start when off speed and just whacked in the run to the line behind Science Degree. Like the rise to 1400m and does get Lucy Fiore to steer. Leading contender.

6 Odinaka (Bet Now: $6.50) comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since Aug 8 over the mile at Belmont when struggling on testing ground and was never really a factor. Firmer deck and back to 1400m, he’s dangerous with his best.

10 Prince Of Bondi (Bet Now: $23.00) each way. He ran over the mile here last time out when near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite run out the mile when third. Like him back to 1400m, he’s one of the leading contenders and you should get each way odds.

9 Please Mizter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a leading contender after a track/distance romp last start, leading throughout and he gave nothing else a look in to win and win quite well. Should land on speed once again and take beating.

3 Spank Appeal (Bet Now: $7.50) should be better for the first up run, which came at Bunbury when wide no cover on speed throughout and the hard run told late in the piece. Fitter and up to 1400m, he’s a definite improver at odds.

1 Too Darn Stormy (Bet Now: $2.90) is on top. He ran over 1000m two weeks ago at Belmont, getting off speed and was solid late without threatening behind Pingers. Three runs at 1000m for the prep and now rise to 1300m, which looks ideal. He’s the one to beat.

5 Marcos (Bet Now: $2.10) commands respect after a win a fortnight back at Belmont, getting into a good spot just off the pace before angling into clear air and finished best to get the job done. Tricky gate but racing well and should be around the mark.

3 Treble Maker (Bet Now: $9.00) didn’t disgrace herself in the Coolgardie Sprint last start, sitting off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat behind Altar Boy. Back to this level, despite the tricky gate, she commands respect.

7 Excess Baggage (Bet Now: $8.00) is the way I am leaning. Luke Fernie trained mare that comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since Aug 22 at Belmont when racing on shifty ground and wasn’t 100% comfortable. Firmer deck, ideal map and goes well fresh, I think she’ll take beating.

2 Kings Honour (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for Mitch Pateman. He has been super at Belmont in recent times, winning two on the bounce, both over 1000m, with the latest being on Aug 29. If he can run the 1100m out, he’s dangerous.

3 Keep Reading (Bet Now: $7.50) is a Mitch Pateman trained gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since April 4 when far from disgraced at Ascot. He’s now with Pateman, he looks to have trialled well, I’d say watch betting.

5 Immortal Bliss (Bet Now: $2.25) is a beauty for Dan Morton that is a clear top seed for mine. He has been freshened up since Aug 8 when a dominant winner of the Belmont Newmarket, winning by a space on testing ground. Freshened up, loved his tick over trial, he takes a power of beating.

10 Rissoles (Bet Now: $5.50) is three weeks between runs since placing in the Nicopolis, sitting off speed and took forever to wind up but surged hard late to just miss. Hard fit, she’ll be strong late and hopefully can be within range.

4 West Star (Bet Now: $11.00) is a Simon Miller trained gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since May 30 when far from disgraced in the Hyperion at Belmont but did seemingly have his chance. He is a good fresh horse and looks to have trialled well so watch betting.

I think with a half positive steer, 2 Opportunistic (Bet Now: $3.40) wins. He didn’t get that in the Boulder Cup last time and it cost him the win I think, nabbed late by The Jester’s Son. He is the best horse in the race re ability and if he gets a decent ride, he’s the winner.

3 The Jester’s Son (Bet Now: $3.40) is absolutely flying. He had the suck run in behind the speed in the Boulder Cup and once he got clear, he let down strongly to finish over the top and score. He clearly commands respect the way he’s racing.

4 All Grunt (Bet Now: $13.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday at Belmont, closing strongly from off speed when second to Miss Veuve. He’s found positive form and his best is good enough to be dangerous.

4 Wild Things (Bet Now: $4.00) is one of the hardest to beat for Dan Morton after racing two weeks ago over the mile at Belmont, sitting off speed and worked home with purpose in a good effort in defeat. Maps to do no work in the run and the extra 160m looks fine.

5 Just Yes (Bet Now: $3.10) is progressive and heading in the right direction for Luke Fernie. Not sure he beat much at Northam last time but the way he went about business and the manner in which he spanked them was quite impressive. Good test here but confident he can measure up.

7 Abissi (Bet Now: $13.00) comes back to 1760m after racing over 2200m at Belmont three weeks back. He got back off speed but worked to the line really well in defeat I thought when third to Admired. Back in trip is fine, he’s in the mix.
