2 Royal Press (Bet Now: $2.45) looks a good mover and confident he can make a winning debut. He has won both pieces of work, winning a jumpout before an impressive trial win here on the Heath course. Lands on speed, he takes beating against these.

5 Maalefushi (Bet Now: $4.50) ran second in the Maribyrnong Trial. She landed on speed and was there to win but just couldn’t quite finish the job. She should be around the mark and is a key chance with race experience.

3 Stone Skyrider (Bet Now: $10.00) is a son of Home Affairs that debuts. He was behind Royal Press in the trial mentioned above. He moved well and seems a good type, so I’d watch betting and see what it does with him.

6 True Rebel (Bet Now: $3.40) has been given a mini freshen up since a maiden win at Geelong, sitting off speed and coming with a well timed run to score. Heading in the right direction, he will take beating here.

2 Hierarchy (Bet Now: $4.20) commands respect for Team Freedman after a win at Cranbourne over 1400m, getting the suck run in behind before finishing best to score. He’ll eat up the mile and is a leading contender.

5 Mister Whiskers (Bet Now: $9.00) comes here off a mini freshen up having won on debut over 1400m at Sale, leading throughout and winning well. Good test here but with his racing style, he’ll give himself every chance.

1 Porter (Bet Now: $5.50) looks really hard to beat. He ran over this track/distance a few weeks ago where he was near the speed and tried hard but just felt the pinch late behind Fiorenot. Back to this level, he’ll press forward and take beating.

3 Loud Charlie (Bet Now: $3.00) has been given several weeks off since a dominant first up win won on the Heath track where he gave his rivals a start and a beating. Maps to settle closer, he appeals.

6 Boltsaver (Bet Now: $14.00) is a very hard horse to catch but he is very capable. Last run was several weeks ago at Caulfield when down the track over 1400m behind Home Rule. Looked sharp in a jumpout and his best is good enough to win.

5 Leonchroi (Bet Now: $2.80) should have won the Ansett Classic at Mornington last time but was given a sore back by Jamie Melham and just didn’t get the runs when they were needed. If he gets room to move here, he’s a clear top seed.

10 Savisanta (Bet Now: $5.50) has good upside to come as well as the Waller polish. He ran over 1900m at Rosehill last time out and worked home well from off speed without threatening behind stablemate Pinhole, who of course came out and won the Herbert Power, so the form reads very well and this is a winnable race.

2 Fernao (Bet Now: $9.50) was too bad to be true in the Colin Stephen at Rosehill. He ran tailed off last and the vets found nothing, so maybe just an off day? If he brings his best, he is certainly dangerous at odds.

7 Jett Smash (Bet Now: $3.30)…that first up win a few weeks ago at Flemington was that of a horse destined for much better races. It was a barrier trial tempo, but the way he quickened…he is Stakes class, and I think in time could be a Newmarket horse. I loved that return and very keen here.

16 Fundamental Nature (Bet Now: $4.50) is several weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Randwick, getting off speed and was held up at times. She was never winning but kept chasing in a pretty good effort. Maps to do no work, she’s dangerous.

6 He’ll Rip (Bet Now: $12.00) ran second to Fiorenot at this track/distance last time. He landed in a decent spot in transit and was there to win but just found one better. Racing well and should be around the mark against these.

7 Dad And Dave (Bet Now: $31.00) is a good each way speck for mine. He resumed over 1400m here and was warming to the task nicely late in the piece behind Fiorenot. Jumps straight to 2000m but is a proven stayer, good upside and strikes a very winnable race.

13 Yauson (Bet Now: $2.25) is a real line finder so the rise to 2000m is fine. He knuckled down with purpose to win over the mile at Ballarat last time, and was quite strong late, so the extra 400m is fine, good racing style, he appeals.

9 Inevitable Award (Bet Now: $26.00) was far from disgraced in the Murray Bridge Cup Prelude. He landed off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good return behind Freedom Flame. Fitter and up in trip, he should only run well.

2 Air Assault (Bet Now: $8.50) was a total forgive in the Murray Bridge Cup last start given the track was a bog and he was wide throughout. Think the rise to 2000m is ideal, he maps to do no work…I think he’ll run very well.

1 Pounding (Bet Now: $7.00) should love getting to 2000m after resuming over the mile here in the Feehan where he was a big pass mark from off speed behind Pride Of Jenni. Like him up in trip, he’s one of the leading contenders.

4 Ambassadorial (Bet Now: $9.50) should be better for the first up run over 1700m at Flemington when off speed and was okay late without threatening. Unbeaten at the track/distance, he can run a much improved race.

3 Sweethearted (Bet Now: $12.00) each way for me in the last. His last run was on Hawkesbury Cup Day when far from disgraced behind a subsequent Stakes class horse in Golden Straand. He looks to have jumped out really well and maps to do no work. Good gamble for me.

10 Tres Magnifique (Bet Now: $5.00) was game in defeat at Mornington last time. Not sure it was the best steer from Jamie Melham but even allowing for that, I thiught the mare had her chance. Hard fit, C Williams back on, she commands respect.

2 Verdoux (Bet Now: $12.00) comes back to 1100m after resuming over 1200m at Mornington where he just looked in need of the run behind Piastri. Fast run 1100m suits and with room to move to wind up, he’s a threat at odds.

LONG SHOT: Race Six Number 7 Dad And Dave
