7/2/2026 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Randwick, Inglis Millennium day

A bumper ten event program has been assembled for Randwick on Saturday. Weather is fine, track is soft (5) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

4 Charleroi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is becoming somewhat costly from a betting perspective but I do think he’s well placed here. Just not sure the tight track was to his liking at Wyong a few weeks ago, but balanced up in the straight and drove hard late when a close up third to Oakfield Saturn. Bigger track, he appeals.

5 Kingston Charm (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect. She looked the winner when she loomed a fortnight back in the Midway but just found one better, just, in Promitto. Bursting to win a race and she strikes a winnable contest here. One of the hardest to beat.

9 Tenbury Wells… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) he’s nearly got a life ban for me, but will include him in exotics. Was keen on him in the Midway two weeks back here. He got a suck run on the fence and looked to be trucking before getting clear and thought he was going to explode. He just whacked when fourth. Hard horse to catch but his best is clearly good enough.

10 Blend Of Three (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be absolutely humming for Cam Crockett. He did a really good job in his first prep for the stable when last in work and his trial work to get ready for the return tells me he will be a live force in the Country Championships. Hard to beat.

3 Atmospheric Rock (Bet Now:  $SP.00) spots them a start but will launch late, as seen a fortnight back here. He got a fair way out of his ground but loved the way he finished his race off in defeat. If within range, he has the finale to launch late.

13 Wasted Days (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can well and truly put his hand up for the Country Championships with a forward showing here. Not sure he beat much at Parkes last time but the manner in which he put them away from on speed was quite impressive. Good test here, but confident he can measure up and run well at odds.

5 Spicy Miss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Ciaron Maher trained filly that resumes. She ran a game second in the Golden Gift when off speed and closed nicely when second to Revengeance. Looks to have trialled up nicely and although 1000m is on the short side, she’ll be strong late.

6 Lady Moscato (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through The Debut on MM Day at the Gold Coast. She got off speed, wide, doing work, but she kept finding the line and was quite good in defeat. Can settle closer in the run, brings solid form, I think she’s in the mix.

7 Satin Summer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect after a debut win two weeks ago over 1000m here, leading throughout and she gave nothing else a look in to win well. Good racing style, run under the belt, she appeals as a key chance.

5 Pretty Powerful (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing like 1600m suits. He ran over 1400m here a fortnight back behind Cinsault where the race shape wasn’t really suited to him but he kept chasing and was far from disgraced in defeat. 1600m suits, he takes beating.

9 Unleeshing (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was bursting to win and that win came at the midweeks on the Kenso last start, knuckling down with purpose in the straight and got better as the race went on. Confidence is up, she can take this out.

6 Saint Emilion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to the mile. He resumed over 1400m two weeks back here when wide no cover for the trip and the hard run just told late in the piece. Like the rise in trip for him and with a better run in transit, he’s dangerous.

4 Oakfield Jupiter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a quality mare for Damien Lane that resumes, I dare say with eyes towards the Provincial Championships. She did nice things when last in work and I really liked a recent trial from her. She’s here to play IMO and takes beating.

3 Polyglot (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Michael Freedman trained gelding that resumes, having not raced since Nov 1 when pulling up and failing to finish behind Midnight Dynamite. Looks to have trialled up very well for the return and gets J Mac to steer.

1 Bundeena (Bet Now:  $SP.00) tried his guts out a fortnight back at this track/distance. He loomed to win but just found one better in the handy galloper Gatsby’s. Knocking on the door to win and does seem to strike a winnable race for mine.

7 La Roja (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned in good order and takes beating after a first up second a few weeks ago at Wyong, driving hard late in the straight when balanced up but was nabbed on the peg by Sequista. Good upside to come, she takes beating.

3 Candlewick (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should be at peak fitness. She ran third to Super Norwest a fortnight back here, seemingly having her chance but I just think 1200m is on the short side for her. Like her up to 1300m, good racing style, she appeals.

1 Wooloowin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the Magic Millions F&M where she got back off speed and kept chasing without threatening behind the in form Poster Girl. Back to 78 grade, she’ll take beating if within range.

18 Profitabelle (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since a debut placing at this track/distance. She got off speed but worked home with real purpose late in the piece when third to Knightsbridge. Think that form reads well for this and better for the run, she takes beating.

8 Calamari Ring (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beaut for Ciaron Maher. She debuted in the Inglis Banner during Cup Week at Flemington, sitting off speed before being presented clear air and knuckled down with purpose late to score. Trialled up super, she appeals.

2 Plagiarism (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat for GaiBott. He was specked at odds when debuting in the Golden Gift, attempting to lead throughout and tried hard but had no answers late for Revengeance. Looks to have trialled up really well for the return and is one of the hardest to beat against these.

Great to see star filly 3 Tempted (Bet Now:  $SP.00) back at the races. It is clear that it is chips in for the Surround and this will be the kick off point. Moved very well in a recent trial here and with class on her side, she’s going to take a power of beating.

2 Napoleonic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a good colt for O’Shea/Charlton that resumes. He was last seen on Cox Plate when a very impressive winner of the Red Anchor, ending the prep on a high. Looks to have trialled up very well and will be strong at the end of 1200m, so watch betting.

8 Dusty Bay… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) why he’s running here, not sure, because I doubt he wins, but I think he’s a first four contender and would be ideally suited in the Provincial Championships. He trialled up like a rocket last week and will run well, but do think lowering the eye sight would be ideal for this guy.

14 Hellsing (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was quite game in defeat two weeks ago at this track/distance. He sat on speed and fought on really hard but just found one better in Welcometotheshow, a tough campaigner from Victoria. Good racing style, found positive form, he appeals.

16 Sun God… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is he running out of chances? I say yes, but he does command some level of respect. Just plain I thought behind Welcometotheshow. He was there to win but was very one paced and just whacked in the run to the line. He can win…but gee he is frustrating to follow.

11 Kadavar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate getting to the mile after racing two weeks back in the Carrington over 1400m when outclassed, found them too sharp, but was pretty good late in the piece. Might need more racing and 2000m+, but he’ll be strong late and is a knockout hope.

6 Celui (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat fresh for Team Freedman. Short course specialist that resumes, having not raced since May 3 when down the track in the Hawkesbury Gold Rush. Given a good break and his trial work to get ready for the return has been strong so watch betting.

10 Lulumon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Jason Coyle trained mare that resumes. She hasn’t raced since Aug 17 when placing in the Mona Lisa Prelude behind Dollar Magic at Wyong. Looks to have trialled up very well for the first up run and can sprint well fresh so watch the market.

9 Lady Extreme (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a talented mare that resumes for Blake Ryan. It will be interesting to see what they do with her, whether she heads down the blacktype path or aim towards the Provincial Championships. Sprints very well fresh, so watch betting.

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 14 Hellsing
