5 Wrigley Field (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been given a mini freshen up for Team McEvoy since a track/distance win here on Nov 3, giving them a start and a beating on the heavy track to score. Tick over jumpout was quite good and he will be strong at the end of 1400m.

2 Maldini (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was an impressive winner two weeks ago at Cranbourne, sitting on speed before being clicked up by Nolen and he was there to be run down but he found under pressure to fend them off. Good test here, but think he measures up and goes close.

1 Vega For Luck (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fifth to Maldini at Cranbourne last time. He got off speed and was quite keen in the run. That early burn of energy ensured he didn’t have much left for the straight behind Maldini. If he brings his best, he can threaten.

7 Actuality (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat I say. Just found the track too wet on Stakes Day at Flemington before going to Cranbourne where she ran a much improved race in defeat when on speed, only tiring very late behind Hearcomesthestar. If the track can dry out, she’s top seed.

8 Legacy Bay (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after resuming over 1100m three weeks back at Caulfield when off speed and home well late when third to Gracie’s Rain. Better set up here, she’s one of the hardest to beat.

5 Quiseen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should be at peak fitness. She ran last week at Geelong where she got off speed and I thought was going to be right in the finish when building the revs but got checked, held up and it ended up being an ugly watch. If she gets the luck, she can win.

7 Ground Control (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a smart animal for Phillip Stokes. He didn’t beat a great deal at Pakenham last start but he got a soft time of it in front and once clicked up, away he went to spank his rivals. Good test here, but a good racing style and off a big win, I think he’s the straight bat option.

1 Harry’s Yacht (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been given a mini freshen up since a Bendigo Cup Day win, sitting just off speed and was trucking before being given clear air to wind up and he was impressive late the way he put them away. 1200m is fine, he has change up speed…dangerous.

6 Prince Tycoon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1200m after attempting to lead throughout over 1300m at Cranbourne. He gave a good sight from the front but the end of 1300m just found him out late, feeling the pinch when third. Back to 1200m, he’ll run well.

8 Sneaky Sunrise (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks really well placed here I say for Team Hayes. She last raced on Oaks Day in the Inglis Bracelet where I think you can make a case she fights the finish out if she gets clear air behind Verona Rose when fifth. Flying I think without winning but she gets a great chance to change that here.

15 Yes I Know (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to the mile after resuming two weeks ago at Cranbourne over 1500m. He was back in the run and never really a factor but you had to like the way he finished his race off. If he gets a more positive ride, he can take this out.

11 Trapalanda (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is better suited over further but he is a nice horse on the up that resumes. Team Archibald trained gelding that did some nice things when last in work, albeit at 2000m+. May need the run, but his jumpout work has been more than encouraging so watch the market.

7 You’re Two Vain… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) just how good is he? 4/4 to start his career, the latest coming at the midweeks at Caulfield Heath when on speed before being clicked up and away he went despite lumping 62.5kg. He’s a beauty, a line finder and has gears. Like him.

8 Zouper Fund (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Ciaron Maher trained gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since June 18 when an on speed winner at Sandown, finding plenty under pressure to fend them off and score. Looks to have jumped out well and strikes a winnable race.

1 Chinqui (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came at Flemington on Stakes Day where he failed to handle the bog when down the track behind Grand Larceny. Better suited here on a firmer deck, he’s a big improver.

2 Royal Flare (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs after a debut win on Nov 3 over 1200m here. He wasn’t 100% happy on the wet track but he made a mess of them in a very impressive display at start one. Tick over jumpout was quite good and looks ideally suited up to 1400m.

1 Golden Spritz (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here off the back of a win last Wednesday at Geelong over 1300m. He was wide no cover on speed but was absolutely trucking before being clicked up by Froggy and away he went to win and win well. 1400m should be fine and commands respect.

12 Shystar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1400m after a maiden win over 1200m at Geelong first up, leading throughout and credit to her, she was there to be beaten but she found under pressure to fend them off and score. Good racing style, she’s a knockout hope.

3 Major Share (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty and has to be respected. He tried his guts out in the Century on Oaks Day but just couldn’t quite get there when second to Stokke. Good racing style and the extra 100m should be fine. Hard to beat.

10 South Of India (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a short course specialist that is having his first run for Dom Sutton. He hasn’t raced since Melbourne Cup Day at Randwick when midfield behind speedy mare Sunrise. Tick over jumpout was encouraging, watch the market.

4 Bases Loaded (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in with a shout at odds. He resumed in the Village Stakes at Caulfield a few weeks back where he got to near last in the run and though safely held, he didn’t get the clearest of paths in the straight. Dangerous if he can get a more positive ride.

Keen to be with 1 Liberami (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for Robbie Griffiths. Thought he was a real eye catcher and blackbooker from Cup Week at Flemington, closing off strongly against the pattern behind Al Duca. Ocean Beyond ran a beauty last week to frank the form, he handles wet ground, 2000m suits…I think he’ll run a beauty.

9 Party Crasher (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been kept on ice for Michael Hickmott since a win over this trip on Cup Day at Flemington, giving them a start and a beating under a confident steer from Mark Zahra. He has that 2000m run under the belt, room for improvement, he takes beating.

2 Howlin Rain (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect after spanking them in the Moe Cup last time, sitting on speed throughout before being clicked up, maintained a margin and safely held his rivals at bay to score. Good racing style, he’ll run very well.

6 Saint George (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win for Ciaron Maher. He ran on Cup Day over 1800m when off speed snd loomed to win but just found one better in Kingswood. Bursting to win and strikes a winnable race.

2 Kingswood (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been kept on the fresh side since his win over this trip on Cup Day. He was there to be beaten by a horse who I think will measure up at Group l level, Saint George, and was able to fend it off and score. He’s flying this horse and rates highly.

11 Firm Agreement (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout chance. Forgive and forget his run in The Beauford at Newcastle when back on a firm deck and on a day where up/in was dynamite, he was never a factor. Has a gate to settle much closer and will love getting some cushion in the ground.

3 Sunshineinmypocket (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well and should be around the mark, as seen on Cup Day when second to Persian Spirit. He had his chance and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when a well held second. He takes beating against these.

14 Roadcone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Caulfield when off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job when fourth to Taken. He was only second up there so with room for improvement, he can take this out.

12 Waimare (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door for Team Archibald. Track pattern was against her at Newcastle a few weeks ago but she kept chasing and was pretty good in defeat I thought behind Maid Of Moolah. Hopefully on a more fair track this time around, she’ll take beating.
