Race 1. (15:29) Magic Millions Plate 1000m
3 Boudoir Belle (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) looks a jump/run type for Dion Luciani, a stable that have a plethora of these and for the most part, they go pretty good. This girl has had two 400m trials to get ready for start one, winning both, with the latest of those being on Tuesday when leading throughout and moving well. Should find the front and take running down.
1 London’s Image (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a Ryan Hill trained filly that resumes. This girl had a two run Spring prep and was pretty solid for the most part, the highlight being a narrow second on debut. Resumes without a trial but that is normal for the stable for the most part when it comes to runners resuming. Chris Parnham booked signals intent and she has the race experience.
4 Champagne Coast (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a stablemate of London’s Image that is on debut and has had trials to get ready for start one. Trialled solid enough in the Spring at Belmont before a spell. Has come back and trialled well at Lark Hill on Tuesday, winning and moving well. Maps ideally from the gate, she’s a market watch.
Race 2. (16:06) Tabtouch Handicap (0MWLY) 1600m
5 The Rush (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) doesn’t win out of turn but she is nearing a win and I think with the claim, and what I’d consider a jockey upgrade, I am happy to be with her. She ran on ATA Day over 1400m here where she took a little while to wind into her work but was good late in the straight when balanced up when a close up third to Jay Dee. Like her up to 1600m, she gets the claim, strong late…happy to be with her each way.
3 Nero King (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is hard to beat for Jim Taylor. He is a tick under two weeks between runs since spanking them at Belmont, getting the dream run in transit behind the speed before angling clear and he let down with purpose to gap his rivals. He was only second up there so with good improvement to come, I think he has to be rated highly.
1 Surveillance (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is one I can entertain for wider exotics. He ran over 1695m at Bunbury last time where he got back to near last in the run and spotted those in front too much head start but I really liked the way he found the line late behind Valley Of Queens. Gets in well after the claim and I think he’s dangerous if the inside gate can be used to advantage.
Race 3. (16:46) Glenroy Chaff Plate 1400m
7 Blazing Emerald (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a nice filly for Dan Morton that is heading in the right direction. She won her maiden on ATA Day here, letting down strongly from off the speed and proving too good over 1500m. She has good upside to come and with the claim, she is in very well at the weights and she seems to have found a winnable 3YO race.
3 King’s Parade (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is hit and miss but when he is on, he does have an engine. He showed that here on ATA Day over 1200m, giving them a start and a beating, producing a brilliant finale to get the win. Off that, 1400m should be fine and if he produces a finale similar to last time, he’s going to take some beating.
Good test here for 2 I Dreamed A Dream (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) but he has earned a crack in town. Steve Wolfe has this guy going really well at the moment, helped with ideal placement. He won at Belmont just under two weeks back, sitting near the speed and got better as the race went on, winning narrowly but nicely. Maps ideally and although this is harder, he’ll be around the mark I am sure.
Race 4. (17:26) Thank You Jay Rooney Handicap (72+) 1600m
5 Acting God (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to the mile for Bruce Watkins. He resumed over 1400m at Belmont where he got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never a threat, he did make up good ground and was pretty good in defeat I thought behind Nero King. Much better set up this time around and with good upside, I reckon he’s worth a throw at the stumps each way.
3 Civvy Street (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a beauty for Team Casey and commands respect. He won over this track/distance two weeks ago, sitting wide with cover before angling wider into clear air and he let down strongly late, getting the job done narrowly but won well. He now has that win on the board, he can maintain that form.
2 Birdieagle (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is an improver at odds. He resumed three weeks back at this track/distance where he just looked in need of the run and that’s how it panned out behind Let’sdeal. Good second up record and he does love Ascot so I think has to be given another look at a likely decent price.
Race 5. (18:05) Amelia Park Handicap (1MW) 1200m
1 Oly’s Choice (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) for me. Team Pearce trained gelding that resumed down the straight at Pinjarra where he was there to win I thought but perhaps being first up, 1000m short of his best, he just couldn’t quite finish the race off when a narrow second to Rock This Town. Fitter, up to 1200m, ideal map, he’ll take beating.
9 Snippy Which (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a key threat. Handy three year old for Adam Durrant that ran a fortnight back over 1200m here where he was a bit flat footed when the sprint went on but he picked up and was pretty good late in the piece when fourth to Leading Taddy, beaten just under three lengths. Up to 1400m should be fine and right down in the weights, he appeals.
5 Deetea (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is knocking on the door to win. This mare ran two weeks back at this track/distance where she got back to near last in the run and while she was never a threat, I did like the way she finished her race off in defeat behind Harmika. If she is within range on the turn, I think she has the finale to overhaul them.
Race 6. (18:40) Lexus Of Perth Handicap (62+) 2200m
1 Atlantis Beach (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a great each way gamble for mine here. He comes through the ATA where he was back in a barrier trial pretty much so he was never a winning threat but he did make headway and was very good in defeat behind Queen Alina. Back to a moderate benchmark race, Blinkers on, it all points to him running well.
11 Flash Paddy (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a key threat. He ran over this track/distance on ATA Day and IMO, he should have won. Campbell, normally a rider I have time for, got it badly wrong on this guy I thought, just waiting far too long to get going and spotted the leader/winner too much head start. Jockey upgrade, and if the inside gate can be used to advantage, he’ll take holding out.
10 Kisses From Kelly (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) commands respect. He ran here two weeks back where he got to near last in the run and was never really a winning factor but I didn’t mind the way he finished his race off behind Ghobella. If the inside gate can be used, I think he’ll settle much closer and still be effective at the end.
Race 7. (19:15) Print Hall Handicap (1MW) 1400m
2 Eee Pee Cee (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) for me. He has been excellent in two runs back from a spell, winning at this track/distance first up before going to 1500m three weeks ago where he pretty much went around like a barrier trial, having no luck in the straight. He is flying this prep and if the breaks go his way, I think he has a bit on them. Keen on his prospects.
3 Playz With Fire (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) has been up a little while but she is holding her form superbly. She comes back to 1400m after racing over the mile here a fortnight back, getting back in the run and spotted them too much start but I really liked the way she found the line late behind Civvy Street. Pike back on, she’s very likeable.
5 Vitalize (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is one I can entertain for exotics. This mare just ran under two weeks back at Belmont where I thought Chris Parnham gave her a 12/10 steer and she looked the winner when she got the inside split but had no answers for the finale of Nero King. Tricky draw, harder here, but she is genuine. First four contender.
Race 8. (19:50) Easingworld Stakes (84+) 1400m
I don’t see back to 1400m being an issue for 7 Starry Heights (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) and for mine, he is clearly the one to beat. Four weeks between runs since racing over the mile here where he was given a 12/10 steer by Pike and in a driving finish, he was too good. I think the end of 1600m at this level sees him right out so back to 1400m should be fine and he’s just a winner.
1 Let’s Galahvant (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) commands respect for Team Pearce. He ran in a strong race at Pinjarra last time out where he was a bit flat footed when the sprint went on but he picked up late and was very good in defeat when a close up third to Man Crush. That was his first run in a month so with room for improvement, he rates highly.
9 Cheval De Vaga (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is dangerous if they let him roll on speed. He couldn’t find the front at Pinjarra last time in the race mentioned above and he battled to the line late. He is best when he leads and rolls, so if that can eventuate here, I think he’ll run a much improved race at a likely decent price.
Race 9. (20:30) Bisley Workwears Handicap (66+) 1000m
3 Devine Belief (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) looks a good thing in the get out for David Harrison. She is three weeks between runs since spanking them over 1100m here with Olly giving her a peach steer from near the front and she was strong late. Lands in a plum spot once again and with the claim, it all points to her proving too good once again.
8 Harmika (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a bonny mare for Adam Durrant and has to be given some form of respect. She ran a fortnight back over 1200m here where she gave them a start and a beating, launching late from near last to win impressively. Fast run 1000m is an interesting set up but if she gets within range, she can finish over the top.
5 Ain’t No Other Man (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is four weeks between runs for Team Casey since resuming here where he landed on speed and he tried his guts out but he couldn’t quite see it through when a close up fifth to stablemate Hanchi. Good horse on the fresh side, maps to do no work, get an ideal run, and his best is good enough to be dangerous.
