Eight races have been set down for Pinjarra on Saturday for Beaufine Stakes Day. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out four metres for the entire circuit.

1 Fiery Spark (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a really good prospect for Steve Wolfe and I am confident he can resume a winner after an electric debut win at Bunbury where he gave them a start and a beating to win well. Belmont trial win was sharp, I say he is here to play.

6 King Of Light (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Earthlight that is on debut for Dan Morton. He hasn’t quite set the world on fire in three trials to get ready for start one but a good lead is that Pike is booked so I say watch betting and see what it does.

7 Phat Chaps (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Bondi gelding for Mitch Pateman that is on debut. He hasn’t looked too bad in trials to get ready for start one, his latest trial seeing him run fourth at Belmont. I think he’s another to watch from a yard and betting perspective.

2 Amaroo Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can resume a winner for Simon Miller. He resumes after a fruitful Autumn prep, winning three on the bounce over the short coure and each time was impressive. Resumes, trialled well leading in and draws well for the straight course.

1 Madhi Girl (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Simon Miller trained filly that resumes. She is first up, having not raced since Jan 18 at Ascot when beating one home over 1100m behind London’s Image. I do like her fresh at 1000m, her trial work has been strong and gets Pike.

5 Earth God (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came here two weeks back where he struggled on the wet track and was just plain in the run to the line behind Haida Gwaii. Firmer deck and he had trialled well leading in so watch betting.

6 Money Trees (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am going. He comes back to 1200m after racing over 1400m two weeks ago. He got into a decent spot in transit and was there to threaten but I just think 1400m on the wet track found him out late in the piece. Back to 1200m and firmer footing, he appeals.

1 El Patron (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Patronize that resumes for Simon Miller. He is first up, having not raced since Feb 8 at Ascot when leading over the mile and just felt the pinch late in the piece behind Rock N The Jam. He can sprint well fresh and a good lead that Pike is booked.

7 On Patrol (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Team Casey trained gelding that resumes. This guy is first up, with his last run coming on Feb 1 at Ascot when off speed and wide. He did make up headway but was never really threatening. Chris Parnham booked I find interesting, and his trial was solid, so watch the market.

1 Fat Roy Slim (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door and he strikes a very winnable race here for mine. He ran over this track/distance two weeks ago where he got off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good effort in defeat behind First Encounter. Pike on, firmer deck, rates highly.

3 Dennis Choux (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fourth to First Encounter in the race mentioned above. He got a decent run in transit and presented to threaten but just couldn’t quite get there and for mine, he wasn’t 100% on the wet track. Back on firmer footing, he can bounce back.

11 Lien Hyphen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one for wider exotics. She ran over the mile at Northam last week where she got back, wide with cover, and just couldn’t get involved when down the track behind True Player. Not sure I could back her to win but is one for exotics.

12 Ideally (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take beating here after an eye catching effort three weeks ago at Bunbury where she got back to near last in the run but was very good late when third, clocking good late splits. Hopefully can settle much closer in the run and still be effective late.

7 Spectacular Park (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited up to 1400m after a first up win at Bunbury where he gave them a start and a beating, letting down with good change up speed to score. The rise in trip looks ideal and despite the tricky gate, he commands respect.

4 Rommeo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing over the mile here last Saturday. He got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never really a winning threat, I didn’t mind his finale in defeat behind Arcadia Park. He’ll spot them a start but should be strong late.

6 Royal Toronado (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me here. He ran last Saturday over 1400m here where he got a fair way out of his ground, back to near last, but really liked his finale in defeat when fourth to Drakatina. Up to the mile, hard fit, he takes beating.

1 Miss Skyhigh (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the key chances. She ran over this track/distance a fortnight back. She got into a lovely spot in transit and was there to win but just couldn’t quite get there when third to Multinational. Like her on a firmer deck and Pike takes over.

8 Bambun Boy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a gelding for Susan Olive that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since May 3 at Ascot when on speed and just felt the pinch late behind Filthy Habits. Resumes without a trial but fresh at 1600m, to me, signals intent.

10 Repossession (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying this time in for Team Gangemi and has to be respected. 2/2 this time in, the latest win coming down the starlight here four weeks ago when too good for his own age. Now taking on the older horses but seems a straight track specialist and is hard fit, in form.

13 Toropa (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a dynamic mare back to 1000m so I say she’s dangerous. She ran over 1200m here on May 20 and was good in defeat behind Luvnwar but did seemingly have her chance. Fresh legs and back to 1000m, she’s a clesr threat.

1 Phanta (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Team Gangemi trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Oct 19 over 1400m at Asoct when down the track behind Comfort Me. Been given a good break and has looked to trial up really well, so watch betting and see what it does.

3 Playing Games (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to resume a winner. Meryl Hayley trained mare that resumes, having not raced since April 5 at Ascot when a solid fourth over 1400m. She is a mare who can sprint well fresh and her recent trial was quite good, so keen to see how she goes, especially with Pike aboard.

8 Allentown (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is heading in the right direction for Michael Grantham and is one of the key chances. He won here two weeks ago at this track/distance, getting the best run in transit before angling for clear air and finished best to win well. He can win again.

4 Kraken Time (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1200m after racing over 1000m at Pinjarra two weeks back. He got back off speed and while he was never threatening, he kept chasing and was pretty good in defeat I thought behind Haida Gwaii. His best is good enough to be dangerous.
