Race One (11:20) : Ladbrokes.com.au Handicap 1300m:
Back Me: 1 Kenedna (Bet Now: $4.80) was an alarming drifter in betting last start at Geelong but she found plenty when challenged to win impressively, albeit by a narrow margin. Rain won’t hurt her given she is bred to swim, and she can handle the rise in grade.
Big Danger: 2 Montoya’s Secret (Bet Now: $2.70) ran over 1400m at Flemington a fortnight back where she tried hard but was no match for the impressive filly Sebring Dream and had to settle for second. Back 100m in trip is ideal and this is a far weaker race.
Roughie: 4 Cat Woman (Bet Now: $7.00) debuted over 1200m here last Saturday and looked a little lost in the straight, but her last 150m-200m was excellent. Extra 100m is right up her alley and she is a definite threat.

Race Two (11:50) : Ladbrokes Park Handicap (84) 1500m:
Back Me: 3 Yellen (Bet Now: $6.50) resumed at Cranbourne and closed off strongly late when running second to the in form mare Must Be Mink. This mare has a lot of upside and she was very impressive in winning second up last time in on Oaks Day when four and five wide no cover for the trip. Looks one of the better bets on the program.
Big Danger: 2 Holy Cow (Bet Now: $2.70) looks the one to beat on form after a slashing third to Gabella in a Stakes race during the Adelaide Carnival. She’s hard to find and trust, but she seems to be a bit more consistent now and is a definite threat.
Roughie: 9 Sea Spray (Bet Now: $17.00) isn’t one of mine anymore but she could improve here. Forget she went around last start at Caulfield behind Shades Of Bella given she ran down the straight in a pocket and under triple wraps. She should get through the going based on breeding and she should be ready fitness wise.

Race Three (12:20) : Ladbrokes Mega Margin Handicap 1600m:
Back Me: 8 Les Darci (Bet Now: $6.50) drops in grade after racing in the Adelaide Guineas (1600m) at Morphettville three weeks back when running a closing fourth to Antelucan. Back to Victoria and back in grade should suit this Team Freedman galloper and I think he is the one to beat in a tricky race.
Big Danger: 7 Atlantic City (Bet Now: $6.50) attempted to lead all the way last start at Flemington and did give a good kick but just felt the pinch late when running fourth to Loyalty Man. Little query at the trip, but he is hard fit and racing quite well.
Roughie: 11 Lake Jackson (Bet Now: $9.00) ran at the mid weeks over three weeks back on the Lakeside course when running a close up second to Rezak in what was a pretty good effort. Right down in the weights here after the claim and being by Sebring, he’ll love a track with moisture.

Race Four (12:55) : Ladbrokes Bet Better Handicap 1800m:
Back Me: 2 Sysmo (Bet Now: $5.50) ran over the mile at Caulfield three weeks back and finished off his race quite nicely behind Petrology. He is a horse who will eat up the extra trip here, and any sort of give in the track certainly won’t be a disadvantage to his winning claims.
Big Danger: 1 Turnitaround (Bet Now: $2.80) is racing in grand form at the moment and is a threat despite the weight increase. Ben Thompson rode a beaut race on it last time out at Flemington to hold off a gallant Second Bullet. He is a proven weight carrier and he hasn’t raced better.
Roughie: 5 Backbone (Bet Now: $20.00) was a solid favourite last time out in the Casterton Cup but the leaders just sprinted too hard for him but he did finish off okay late to run fourth to Sandhill Chief. Bigger track and back in trip will be ideal and he gets good weight relief.

Race Five (13:50) : Ladbrokes Handicap (78) 1000m:
Back Me: 9 Chiavari (Bet Now: $7.50) resumed under the lights at Cranbourne a couple of weeks back and tried hard late when second to World Of Hope, beaten a length. Hasn’t done much in three previous second up attempts, but she loves a track with give in it and has placed in both runs on the track.
Big Danger: 3 Pilly’s Wish (Bet Now: $19.00) could be an improver with give in the track. Hasn’t set the world on fire in two runs this time in, but the jump outs leading in were sharp and she does appear to save her best for soft tracks. Don’t discount her.
Roughie: 5 Stingray (Bet Now: $21.00) resumed on the Pakenham Synthetic where she showed good speed to lead and gave a good kick but was bloused late by Wind Force and then Dance With Fontein. Won her lone start here, runs well second up, handles moisture on the track and her last two second up races have been won by Get The Nod and Rough Justice. No horse of that class here.

Race Six (14:08) : Ladbrokes Live Play Handicap (84) 1600m:
Back Me: 3 Royal Rapture (Bet Now: $4.80) here for me in a tricky race. He ran over 1400m at Flemington a fortnight back and closed off well late behind the well performed Jimando, a stablemate of the Big Danger and is a better horse than that horse. He’ll love a soft track here, and the 3kg claim is a big tick.
Big Danger: 6 Scherzoso (Bet Now: $3.10) was unwanted in betting when resuming at Flemington but a beaut steer from Ben Allen got the Tony McEvoy galloper home in a close finish. Month between runs is the query, but that win was just too good to ignore.
Roughie: 2 Cloudscape (Bet Now: $20.00) comes through that race Scherzoso saluted in, where he was completely unwanted in betting and ran accordingly. You only have to look at his UK form to see names such as Snow Sky and Lamar. Brings any sort of form like that here and he will be ultra competitive.

Race Seven (14:48) : Ladbrokes Odd Boost Handicap 1300m:
Roughie: 8 Forgeress (Bet Now: $4.60) drops in depth after running in the Proud Miss during the Adelaide Carnival and worked home well late behind in form mare Runway Star. Third up here, so she should be cherry ripe fitness wise, maps well and the 3kg claim for Jess Payne is a big, big tick.
Big Danger: 6 Khutulun (Bet Now: $7.00) resumed over 1200m at Caulfield three weeks back and closed off well late when third to Shades Of Bella, beaten 1.5L. She ran well in a rich race behind Burning Front second up last time in, and this race looks much weaker than what she faced that day.
Roughie: 4 Nadeem Lass (Bet Now: $20.00) also comes through that Shades Of Bella, and she was okay without setting the world on fire. Last time she won, Moses was alive, but with the scratchings, this is a very thin race and she is well in at the weights after the claim.

Race Eight (15:28) : Ladbrokes Cash In Handicap 1300m:
Back Me: 3 Jalan Jalan (Bet Now: $3.60) was smashed in betting to win the Euclase (1200m) at Morphettville a month back where she got too far back in a race dominated by those near the speed. Back home now and up to 1300m suits, and she is unbeaten on soft ground.
Big Danger: 4 Bassett (Bet Now: $9.50) ran in that messy Caulfield race won by Nat’s The Boss and gee it was tough to watch if you backed him aka me. Dear me. That aside, he is a very good horse on his day and he just needs normal luck here to go close.
Roughie: 10 Ascendance (Bet Now: $13.00) might have only won a Class 1 first up at Geelong, but credit where credit is due because he copped some serious pressure at the top of the straight, but he ended up drawing clear late. Harder here, but there is a bit to like about and he is only carrying 51kg after the claim for Ben Thompson.

Race Nine (16:08) : Ladbrokes Infohub Handicap (84) 1300m:
Back Me: 11 Raposo (Bet Now: $11.00) is the knockout chance here. He didn’t handle the bog track first up at the Bool behind Voodoo Lad. Has since trialled at Tatura and he went like Black Caviar in winning that trial. Best form is over slightly further, but on that trial, I can’t ignore him.
Big Danger: 5 Duke Of Brunswick (Bet Now: $3.30) resumed at Morphettville three weeks back and was given a fairly ordinary steer, sitting three and four wide no cover for the trip and tired late when fourth to in form galloper Illustrious Lad. Runs very well second up and only has to overcome the tricky draw to be a major layer.
Roughie: Not really a roughie, but 12 Ruettiger (Bet Now: $4.40) ran over 1200m at Morphettville three weeks back and closed off hard from the back when a close up second to Illustrious Lad. The run prior was a ripper and the form around him is very good. Third up now, he should be ready to fire.
