Flemington will host a strong eight event program on Wednesday. Weather is fine, track is good (4) and the rail is out three metres for the entire circuit.

Race 1. (15:40) Tab We're On (Rs0mw) 1600m
3 Somewhere (Bet Now: $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing over the mile on Ballarat Cup Day. He got into a decent spot in transit just off speed and tried hard but after doing early work, he felt the pinch. His best is good enough so each way, he’ll do me in the opener.
12 Vivacissimo (Bet Now: $SP.00) has placed in all three runs this time in and commands respect. Latest run was over the mile at Cranbourne when just off speed before angling wider to build the revs and she tried hard bit had to settle for a third to Shiny New Deel. Tricky draw but will press forward and be around the mark.
11 Onlygodwilldo (Bet Now: $SP.00) comes here off the back of a down the track effort over this trip at Sandown. He got back to near last in the run and made up some headway but was never really threatening. Maps to settle much closer and be effective late. Threat at odds.
Race 2. (16:15) Australian Trainers' Association Plate (Bm70) 1800m
10 Yes I Know (Bet Now: $SP.00) ran third to Sneaky Sunrise a few weeks back at Ballarat. He got off speed into a reasonable spot but the riderless horse caused havoc, which he copped a fair chunk of, and was unlucky not to win. Bursting to win and gets his chance here.
8 Fiorenot (Bet Now: $SP.00) is knocking on the door for Tom Dabernig. He is a few weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Caulfield Heath when off speed and chased with purpose in the straight but just found one better in the very much in form Touchdown. Form reads very well and only has to hold that to be around the mark.
7 Corona Lad (Bet Now: $SP.00) steps back up to 1800m after coming back to the mile at Sandown. He got too far out of his ground but while he was never a winning threat, he kept chasing and was pretty good late in the piece. Back up in trip is a positive and is a must for multiples.
Race 3. (16:50) Kensington Stakes 1400m
I am leaning the way of 2 Zou Sensation (Bet Now: $SP.00). He ran fourth in The Supernova, trying to make a sustained run out wide and tried his guts out but couldn’t quite see it through when a close up fourth to Warnie. Maps to either lead or stalk Run Harry Run. Either way, run of the race IMO and he does seem to click when Jamie steers.
4 Persian Spirit (Bet Now: $SP.00) is the favourite and understandably so given how dominant he was on Cup Day at this track/distance. He then went to Caulfield and just missed in the Testa Rossa before making amends in the Gold Bullion, giving them a start and a beating. He did find the best ground but even allowing for that, he was impressive. If there is petrol left in the tank, he can blow them away.
9 Suparazi (Bet Now: $SP.00) has been given a mini freshen up since Nov 23 when placing in the Community Chest at Canberra behind Kintyre, sitting off speed and kept finding the line in defeat. Loved his work in a recent jumpout win at Bendigo…I doubt he wins but he has to be a first four threat.
Race 4. (17:25) Bagot Hcp 2800m
4 Garachico (Bet Now: $SP.00) is one of the better each way gambles on the card for mine. I think he has been set for this race. Not too bad in the Zipping Classic before going to the Pakenham where he was back near last in the run and although never a winning threat, I did like the way he kept chasing. 2800m at Flemington, hard fit, on the minimum…only runs well IMO.
1 Future History (Bet Now: $SP.00) comes to Flemington off the back of an all the way win in the Christmas Cup at Randwick, leading throughout and despite being out of tickets late, he had enough in hand to score. 2800m is the query but if he gets a soft lead, he’ll take getting past.
2 Interpretation (Bet Now: $SP.00) is dangerous with his best. He ran in the Zipping Classic where he got back in the run and failed to get involved when down the track behind She’s A Hustler. Back to a handicap, firmer footing and 2800m, he can run a much improved race.
Race 5. (18:00) Fancy A Gallop? (Bm74) 1000m
I like 2 One Hard Lady (Bet Now: $SP.00) for Donna Scott. Proven down the straight this mare, she has been freshened up since Nov 14 when third, beaten as a $1.50 favourite and I thought was pretty plain. That said, I do think she races best on the fresh side and has been tuned up with a trial win at Wagga. She’s here to play.
12 Wiltshire Square (Bet Now: $SP.00) looks a short course type and appears suited here first up. She last raced on May 31 when an all the way winner over 1000m at Werribee to break her maiden status and going out on a high. Jumped out well, will press forward and is in well after the claim.
9 Muna Kea Miss (Bet Now: $SP.00) was a big winner at Caulfield Heath last time out, sitting wide no cover on speed and credit to her, she was there to tire and drop out but she kept finding under pressure to fend them off and score. Is she good enough to win this? I say no, but can run first four at a price.
Race 6. (18:30) Nye Twilight Sprint (Bm70) 1000m
15 Celerity (Bet Now: $SP.00) hasn’t exactly set the world on fire in terms of race wins but I think she is very well placed here. Bit on the plain side last start at Pakenham behind Manolo Bling but it’s noteworthy that she had a bee in her bonnet pre race and ran accordingly. If she brings her best, I think she wins.
2 Harry Got Styles (Bet Now: $SP.00) was a close up fourth to Manolo Bling in the race mentioned above. He was near the speed throughout and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there in a blanket finish. Draws well for the straight, claim, in the mix.
12 Hello Romeo (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a handy gelding that resumes for Team Hayes. He hasn’t raced since Aug 9 at The Valley when down the track behind Esha, who at the time was talked up as a Group l horse. Couple of strong jumpouts under the belt, watch betting.
Race 7. (19:00) Victorian Jockeys' Association Sprint (Bm66) 1100m
7 It’s A Yes (Bet Now: $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over 1100m at Werribee where he found them a bit sharp, getting back to near last in the run, and while he was never threatening, he was pretty good late. Fitter and a tick over jumpout win was quite good.
14 Egerton (Bet Now: $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing over 1000m at Caulfield Heath. I love Ethan Brown as a rider but even he would admit he slaughtered this girl last start, getting back, ridden far too negatively and only got warm late. Half decent ride here and she takes beating.
8 Artistic Genius (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a threat. He is a few weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Geelong when near the speed and did try hard but had to settle for a second to Tango Jewel. Lands near the front, drawn well, he’s around the mark.
Race 8. (19:30) Shore Goggles Sprint (Bm70) 1200m
13 Gundaroo (Bet Now: $SP.00) is worth a throw at the stumps in the last. Big win from him at Caulfield Heath last start, giving them a start and a beating in a very impressive finale, driving hard late nearer the inside. He is a previous straight winner, he’ll be strong late…each way for me.
8 Podargoni (Bet Now: $SP.00) comes back to 1200m after racing over 1300m at Wodonga last start when on speed throughout and did try hard but just couldn’t quite get there when second to Sister Shay. Drawn well for the straight and a tick over jumpout was quite good.
17 Palm Of Jumeirah (Bet Now: $SP.00) is racing well and should be around the mark. That was the case a few weeks back at Gawler. Thought she was there to win but just couldn’t quite run the 1200m out strongly enough. I think with a soft trip, a drag into the race, 1200m is fine and she can win.
